Fivanus 8-Foot (96-Inch, 2.45-Meter) Extra-Long Chrome Handheld Shower Head Hose

D. Henderson: Bought this Fivanus 8 Ft Shower Hose nearly two years ago. Have not had any problems with leaks, breaks in the outer tubing, or the chrome finish coming off. The extra length is great when I need to shower a particular part of my body or when cleaning the tub and shower. My original hoses were always too short to reach where I needed. That meant turning up the water and risk splashing when I don't need to. I keep the extra length hung around the shower arm on the wall so that it loops.

PROS:
Extra-long length helps with all bathing and shower/tub cleaning without wasting water.

CONS: None so far.

Oliver82: I bought this to lengthen my shower head for bathing my dogs as my new shower head set was 5' and just too short. Perfect length and just screwed right on to my shower head- did need to transfer the washers over from the old one to prevent leaking- though it came with tape, I just wasn't sure how to use it and there were no instructions. If you have a clue about plumbing, you won't have any trouble :-)

Sierra Tim: The longer length and stainless exterior coil is just what we needed for our new shower. The brand name handheld came with a nice looking chrome colored hose, but the exterior was plastic that would never really relax so there was always a coil in the hose. This replacement hangs straight. The longer length reaches all the corners of the shower for cleaning, too. The only complaint is that the fitting for the handheld is slightly smaller than the original so it fits loosely in the wall mount. It works, but is prone to moving at a light touch, a bit inconvienent when you're rinsing.

BTW - I read reviews of other hoses where users complained of the hose bursting. I haven't had an issue but my handheld does not have a water shut off on the handle, it's on the wall where the hose ends. This prevents full water pressure (up to 60psi is allowed per code) from ever being in the hose. I suspect that bursting hoses are installed with handhelds that have water shutoffs. I really don't think these hoses are designed to take full water pressure. The water proof plastic liner that they all use inside the exterior coil is very thin to make the hose flexible. B. Bedford: A little extra hose to wash Cujo properly. Hose didn't seem to come with rubber washers, not sure if you need them, but I reused one at wall end where I had extra thread, and other end is without a washer. Neither leaked so maybe neither needed a washer. The original Moen 5 footer used washers at each end. No big deal, just slight confusion... Nice and flexible hose, should allow easier washing of doggy bellies and paws... we are no longer crammed up by the tub's faucet and leaning over a toilet to bath our puppy :).

Metz2: I bought these (3) to replace a Delta H2OKinetic and two Moen Magnetix shower hoses that were stiff (the Moens weren't that bad, but too short) and short. The Fivanus are long enough to reach the bottom of the shower and then some. So far I haven't had any problems with them. They are way more flexible and cooperative than the stock hoses. They were super easy to install with the gaskets and plumber's tape (1st one didn't come with it, but the two others did which is ok because I have 3 rolls and they are cheap) - took me 7 minutes to install 3 shower heads with the Fivanus hoses. I don't think you need to use the tape, but I did anyway. Will update if anything goes wrong and how customer support is if I do contact them.

Bavanew: The quality seems good. The length is convenient, especially in larger showers. Only time will tell as to how long it will last.

Renee: good length - comes with plumber tape but you will need to buy the rubber things so it doesn't drip - I can't for the life of me think of what they are called and they are difficult to find

skotko: This shower hose is really nice. It is much "smaller" than I anticipated when I opened it up because the hose coils so easily. The outer material is definitely heavy duty. This hose has a real heft to it. I wouldn't use it for cleaning my car, but I have no concerns with the kids stepping on it or scratching it or breaking it. Haven't used it that long, but have been very happy with it so far. It allows us to wash/rinse our kids who, inevitably, sit at the opposite end of the tub to make our lives difficult. It is also great for washing our dog, who can no longer hide at the far end of the tub as well.

The only issue I have with this (and it's no fault of the product) is that the size of the connector does not fit well in the shower head retainer bracket that's mounted on our pipe. This is likely due the old one being made to fit a plastic part (therefore, it is a larger diameter) and this metal one is smaller. Using it unmodified, the hose would allow the head to wobble in the retainer bracket. To resolve this, we wrapped a rubber band around the retainer bracket which takes up some of the slack. At some point, I will investigate swapping out this bracket, but my suspicion...

Shan Pao: In order to reduce the risk of falling in the shower, I bought this hose from the vendor via Amazon. Vendor managed to ship me the hose free in 8 days, which I believe it was faster than the standard shipping. Hose looks nice, it seems well-built, and the length is good. I installed the hose, but it leaked pretty badly. I contacted the vendor, and they tried extremely hard to solve the problem, including offer to ship me a different model for free, but we believe the problem is the size of the connector. This hose was made to fit all standard-size shower heads. I took it to Home Depot, and the hose fit perfectly with other standard-size shower heads, so the problem is the model of Waterpic shower head I have.
I would love to give it all 5’s for the feedback, but I can’t, since it did not work due to being incompatible with my shower head. Based on the positive comment made by the person who helped me at Home Depot, I would give the product a rating of 4.Can’t say enough about their customer support, it was refreshing.
