Uma: I literally used one of these about a month after I purchased it! Follow your intuition folks!! It had been on my mind to purchase fire extinguishers for a while. It's sad to say, but I have never ever purchased any before. Thankfully I never needed one. Well, I put them in my cart and forgot to go back and purchase them until I walked in on a phone call with my son and ex-husband. For some reason, they were talking about fire extinguishers. I immediately went back to my cart and purchased. A month later the air fryer caught on fire! Thankfully I had a fire extinguisher! It was easy to use as a 1st timer! If you are reading this, take it as a sign that you need to purchase. You just never know if you will need one!!

YeahSoMaybe?: Some punk idiots drove by my house a few days after 4th of July and threw a powerful mortar firework out into the street, then quickly drove off. It erupted in a giant fireball that sent bouncing smaller fireballs into my yard which caught my dried up summer lawn grass on fire. Within 2 minutes a fire had engulfed an 12 X 18 foot section of my front yard and was rapidly headed towards my front steps (and arborvitae near the front of house).

Thank God there are still some Good Samaritans in the world! This other car with 3 good hearted citizens driving by (a minute after the punk pyromaniacs left) saw what was happening, pulled over, got out of their vehicle and pounded loudly on my door to get my attention. I took one look, grabbed this First Alert Home fire extinguisher from the kitchen and I was able to put out 4/5ths of my lawn fire -- quickly and immediately. Like within 1 min. The rest I took care of with the garden hose and the Fire Dept. came by and made doubly sure everything was doused.
