Tech101: Sehr langer Löffel, hilfreich bei Trekkingnahrung aus Tüten. Die Oberfläche ist poliert, daher kein typisches "stumpfes" Titangefühl im Mund. Etwas teuer aber der wird mich ewig begleiten und es ist kein Plastik.

Factory StressFactory Stress: I’ve been using MRE spoons so long that this new spoon makes me feel all Bougie. I have multiple utensil sets of all sizes and materials from all different companies. From $1 spoons, knives and fork sets that I got at WallyWorld, to USGI ultra heavy duty metal utensil kits to these mega expensive Ti utensils. I’m totally sold on Titanium for saving weight (depends on the use) and this fits the bill for me from cookin to chowin down.

Lightweight, tough, feels good in my hand and the larger smooth bowl is a plus. Of course in reviews you’ll see people do a bend test on these to test it’s strength (dumb). But we all do it! Lol! How much strength do you need in a eating tool do you really expect or need?? This thing is plenty strong enough! Especially for a 9.65” thin metal ultralight spoon! I like the “anti slip grip” texture of the handle. A good positive grip at all times even with damp or wet hands.

Let me tell ya.... I’ve been wanting a good super long handled spoon to replace my plastic MRE spoon forever. It’s just nice to be able to prepare my chow over an open flame or burner without having to worry about melting another MRE spoon. The longer...

Ivan L.: Excellent utensil for general use and camping or outdoor applications. I started out using it at home to get used to the longer handle, eating everything from cereal to Chinese takeout. Also digs out every last morsel in deep packets like Mountain House meals. Handles very well in the hand and the handle's flat profile helps it not flip over or twist when "fully loaded". Initially felt the scoop was kinda large but it was just a matter of getting used to it - side by side comparison shows it to be about the same size as most dinner spoons. The polished scoop does help with comfort - unlike the kind that has the more common, rougher surface. Recommended!

Cloyd: I just received this spoon and tested it out after a quick wash... Here are my views and opinions so far...
--The bowl of this spoon is half again bigger than the bowl on the Toaks long handle spoon. I'm a big guy so I can handle a bigger spoon easier than someone smaller. If you are not comfortable eating with a spoon approaching table spoon size you might want to give this one a second thought.
--The smooth surface of the bowl of this spoon is just what I was looking for. I have several titanium spoons and prefer the smooth surfaces because the rough ones always make me think that it would be harder to clean and I don't like how they feel to my mouth.
-- I like that the handle does NOT have cutouts. In my opinion these cutouts can trap food particles and go unnoticed if you are in a hurry during cleanup or if the food is sticky like the cheese in MH lasagna.
-- This spoon is a little pricey in my opinion but I don't mind paying for good quality equipment. After all...If your life or wellbeing is depending on something, do you really want the cheapest?
I will try to update this review next fall after a summers worth of use (if I don't loose the spoon)…

David: I wanted a titanium long handled spoon for backpacking. I hesitated to get this one because it was like 8 grams heavier than other (slightly shorter) long handled spoon but finally decided to get it since it had a lot of good reviews. I'm really glad I did. The 8 extra grams are totally worth it. This spoon is just perfect. There is not much else to say. I use it to eat almost everything while backpacking. The waterproof case is however totally useless. The purpose of a titanium spoon is to be lightweight, so who would want to carry this heavy case with it? They should ditch the case and sell the spoon a dollar less. As a bonus it would make less trash on the Earth. With all that being said, this is the best backpacking spoon you can buy so stop shopping and buy it!
