ASB: I’m using a Ridgid HD1800 with a medium FilterPal. The medium seems like it should be adequate for the filter dimensions except that the elastic is too loose to secure the FilterPal to the Ridgid filter. More often than not when emptying, I find that the FilterPal has slid down and nearly off of the vacuum filter. The large size would probably be better fit over the length of the filter, but the larger diameter elastic definitely won’t work.

If the FilterPal stays in place, it works really well unless I’m vacuuming drywall dust, in which case it clogs completely off within a minute or two. I’ve been happier with vacuum bags with the blue Ridgid filter in place as backup in case the bag rips.

I do believe the FilterPal could greatly extend the service life of the filter provided it will properly stay in place on your filter. While FilterPal clogs too fast to be good for drywall dust, it’s really quite good for general clean up.

Rey719: I was a bit skeptical about this project at first. Especially since the item just attaches with elastic. I figured the suction would move the bag or it would not hold in place. I watch some YouTube videos and figured for the price why not. I just opened my shop vac today which had a lot of saw dust. The product was covered in dust and I was shocked to remove it and see my new filter looking like I just bought it. After shaking the filter pal and doing a simple cleaning with my leaf blower the item was good enough to be put back into use. I would recommend this product to save you from having to buy a new filter.

MyReview: I have liked having this filter bag installed when using my shop-vac because it is easier to clean than the filters.
The only thing that I would have liked is the elastic side could have used a stronger elastic.
When installing the bag I need to take care to insure that the bag is "tucked in" around the filter because the elastic isn't strong enough to "tuck in" on its own when it is slid into place.

Rick: Helps keep original filter cleaner does reduce suction. I’ve been using mine a little over a month. I’ve had to wash it twice and the bottom where the elastic is it starting the fray so I don’t know how long it will last.

Brian: I've used it on a handful of jobsites so far, a few drywall jobs too, and my filter still looks brand new. It fits perfectly over the filter and then you just take if off and shake it outside. The money I've saved on new filters and overpriced bags has already paid for this 3 fold. Def going to buy one for my smaller shop vac as well

-Anonymous-: I do recommend this product because it is a real alternative to always being obliged to buy vacuum cleaner paper bags. I swear that I needed this commodity, and I am sure that many people think the same. I use this filter type the following way: I use a filter named Shop-Vac 903-04 Cartridge Filter with another filter named Shop-Vac 9034900 Pre-Filters For Cartridge Filter. This last filter is wrapped around the first one and it protects the paper that is a bit fragile. It blocks the dust that impregnates the filter's paper too much. The FilterPal Pre-Filter is used to envelop the Shop-Vac 903-04 Cartridge Filter and this way it completes this alternative to paper bag filters. The vacuum cleaner that I used is a Shop Vac Super 2.0HP 5 GAL or 18.9 L Wet/Dry Vac whose Model number is 97740-97. I bought it in sale at Walmart for $45.00, and it is even cheaper at some places. This vacuum cleaner is used only in places where there is not a lot of dirt. As the cover of this vacuum cleaner is easily removable, the dirt can be emptied in a trash bin rapidly and that is fine this way.
