Gerald Ratley: This is a genuine fender part and a replacement for the factory part, however it is not the best quality.
I would expect this to break and need to be replaced again.

KillerTigger: What can I say? They're plastic switch tips replacement covers, direct from Fender, so they are the same quality as the original ones you've lost _ because losing these is the only reason you'd ever buy replacements. Pay very, very, close attention when buying these that they will fit your Telecaster; apparently, Fender makes several versions of these that a look exactly the same but have different internal dimensions based on where your guitar was manufactured. Why does Fender do this? Because Fender likes messing with their customers by making an entire range of parts that look exactly the same, function exactly the same, but are NOT interchangeable.

Michael R. Lawrence: I had tried a cheaper version of this switch cap from another source and had to modify to make it fit. Since I wasn't satisfied, I ordered this one. It fit my Fender Telecaster blade switch perfectly and I threw the existing one in the trash can. I am happy with this purchase.

GopherBoy: Early 2022 got a 21 American Performer Tele. Nice guitar great deal but, switch tip falling off ugh. Never happened with my 2009 Am Special. Anyway, put up with it for 6 mo. So sick of it tried a diy thing with paper. Nope. Grr. Time to bite the silver bullet. Found this $7.99 for 2. Mixed reviews crossed my fingers. It came... snug as a bug in a rug (for old timers like me). May very by model but for Am Performer and Am Special it's a winner. Got a spare too 😁

Lucky Day: If you're looking for exact replacement switch tips, these are the real deal. They're identical to the original one that came on my 2014 American Special Tele, so for that reason I gave them 5 stars.

However, I seriously doubt these will be any better. My original became loose and fell off. I had to press it down hard enough to get it to stay on, but then it was too low to allow the outer two pickups selections because the bottom of the tip would hit the chrome plate before going into the pickup selection position. And forcing it would send the tip flying across the room. So I'm holding off using these replacements until I can get a tube of epoxy, which I'll use to fill the ring around the switch slot. You can see in the photo - the tip on the left - do you see how thin both sides of the slot are? Those thin sides widen and cause the problem. So, I hope to fill the open ring area around it with hard-drying epoxy to prevent the plastic sides from being able to stretch. I hope I described this well enough so that it makes sense to you.

Failing that, I'm just going to find a different type of Tele switch tip - maybe the metal ones with the set screw that locks it in...

Rob S: Despite the nifty(?) French description from Rich-Tone, and the fact that these, genuine Fender parts (as fitted to a 1950s era Tele) are not 'Vintage Correct' for a 1960s reissue version, they are, at least, as can be seen from the left-hand image, a solid moulding!
The modern genuine Fender 'Top Hat' switch tip, see attached pic, as fitted to all current production Fenders U.S. (and Mexican) 1960s-style Tele have a large, material (and money!) saving, hole (where THIS version has a slot in solid plastic) with two minute plastic 'wings' projecting into the hole to grip the metal blade of the switch.
Result: In general use, when performing, or if you need to remove the switch tip for any reason (maintenance, pickup swapping or whatever) upon refitting, one, or both of these microscopically thin 'wings' will fail; so you are left with a hole in the bottom of your switch tip (which needs to fit onto a small flat piece of metal) that is almost big enough to accept the end of a pencil! There is no way to, effectively, 'pack out' this large hole to enable the tip to grip the metal blade.
Clearly Fender are aware of this, as they always supply replacements in (handy?) packs of...
