phampton: I used this to clamp to limbs of submerged trees and it was very secure in a fairly strong wind. The design uses the cord to clamp tighter. You could use a longer paracord but so far it’s been adequate right out of the box. I beached the yak and used the clamp to quickly secure it to a log. Lots of uses.

Tyler Young: This is exactly what I was looking for. Easy to use, small enough to not use much space on my kayak. Thought the line it came with was going to be too small but it has held my 12 ft kayak with my 6-1, 270# self in it plus fishing gear no problem.

MKLight: This seems like it would work well, but we decided it wasn't for our needs and returned it. Our plan was to use it on our kayaks. We decided when we want to take a break to take our kayaks out with us. We don't really have a use for an anchor...just yet.
