Cyrus Bazeghi: I needed a good cleaning kit that would work with a verity of rifle and handguns. This kit
has all the basic components needed. Has space for 2 bottles, wish they came with the kit.

After using a few times one of the brass pistol/rifle rods threads broke off in the handle. I sent an email to Falko help and they responded within a day and said they would be sending me a replacement rod and handle. Excellent support.

GLaDOS: I think this kit is good, not great, but good. I don't see it lasting very well after the 50th use though.

The mops are very linty and difficult to clean. I wound up noticing a ton of white fibers along the length of the inside of all my barrels, prompting me to go back through with a strip cloth and oil.

The brushes are decent, they definitely do some scraping, but the bristles like to fold over at the leading edge.

The rods are definitely what I think will break first. The long gun rods are just too small in diameter to support the amount of force needed to push the mop down the barrel. I expect to see one fold in half one day while cleaning.

This is a good kit for someone who isn't a frequent shooter, but if you're an avid shooter you might want to look elsewhere.

Bryan: So I spent an hour trying to find the best bang for buck gun cleaning kit.
Ended up ordering this one. The case arrived and first thing I notice they didn't even bother to put the sticker on the lid with the label/name. It just has a placeholder spot lol. No big deal.

Next thing I noticed is every bit of the case is plastic. The latches, the hinge area etc. are all the flex plastic. We all know what happens with metal and plastic if you bend it back and forth over time.... Over time this will wear and fail.
I wish I'd caught that before ordering as a case was one thing I wanted to hold all the goodies.

The items inside the case arrive all dumped around. I guess they don't really sit too secure in the places. I'm sure shipping is somewhat rough on packages though but if a case can't hold items what good is it?

I'd have rated 3.5 if was an option instead of 4. I can't say the entire kit is a 3 but feel like could have been a bit better.

We'll see in time how things hold up.

Lab Rat: I have 9mm, .45 ACP, .223/5.56 mm, 12 ga, and 22LR weapons, and this kit cleans them all. The only complaints I have is that the kit does not keep the various jags, adapters, and tips in their slots if the case it picked up vertically like a book. Additionally, there is no specific brush for .45 ACP, so I'm forced to use the slightly small .41 brush. However, this kit does get a full 5-star rating, because of customer service. I recently broke the threading on one of the brass cleaning rods, causing the rod and the handle section in which it was fitted to become useless. When I emailed Falko to ask for a new rod and handle, they said they will send me an entirely new kit, asking only that I send them pictures of the affected pieces for their in-house research. The rod that broke was the thinner of the two, and I was trying to jam it into the barrel of my AR15; I have since discovered that the thicker set also fits inside a .22 or larger bore, so I won't even use the thinner rods, which I assume are in there for .177 guns.

The rods, tips, adapters, and jags are all brass, so they won't scratch your barrel, and the brushes are phosphor bronze with what appears to be aluminium...
