After falling in love with another brand's microfiber towels, I decided to add this to my collection to have a nice big one. Unfortunately it's not even remotely comparable, and has no real absorbency.
I tried dabbing my skin dry, which works best with my other microfiber towels. When that didn't work I tried rubbing like I do with normal cotton towels. It just moved the moisture around on my skin, not picking it up in either case. I always wash fabrics before use, and never use fabric softener or dryer sheets with towels. I washed it a second time in case it still had residual stuff on it, but this made no difference.
It is VERY soft and cozy though, and will now be a great blanket to keep in the car. It's just not a great towel.
