colleen m kobe: I have three cats, all male, indoor/outdoor in warm weather and entirely indoor in winter. I have three litter boxes. I just bought one of these scoops for each box. THE SCOOPS ARE WONDERFUL!!! The "bowl" part of the scoop is quite large, so I get through the scooping chore quicker. The handle is good and strong: I always feel confident that no matter how heavy the litter and waste, the handle will stay stiff. And last, I've had scoops with slots that are too wide, letting too much undesirable stuff to slide through. Not my new scoops! The slot width is just right.
The next time I have a friend who gets a new cat or kitten, I'm giving them one of these as a catwarming gift. :-)

Degenerate: My kitty litter box that I purchased at a local pet store came with a very light flimsy litter scoop.
This is FAR nicer and works FAR better. It is definitely heavy duty and it is made of hard plastic. It was great too because it matched the color decor of all the kitty litter box and accessories that came with it from my aforementioned purchase.
I got this as an "Add on" item and it was a steal of a deal!
Definitely worth purchasing, and though I only have one cat, would even be great for multi-cat homes because the shovel is so wide and it is so heavy duty it could lift a lot of clumps!

CZGator: I was looking for a long handled litter scoop and bought this one to try out. It has many good qualities: it's sturdy, has a large handle that's easy to grip and the holes are the same size as smaller scoops. However if you are looking for a really big scoop, it's not that much bigger in the scoop portion, probably about 1/2 to 5/8 inch wider in the front than typically sized versions, then it tapers slightly at the back. I was only interested in the long handle, so that was not a problem, however, the reinforcing, extra plastic that extends around the back edge around the handle make it harder to get through the opening in the high sided litter box I wanted to use it in. I appreciate the fact that they are trying to make the item sturdier, but for my purposes, it just made it more awkward. Also the back part of the hollow handle is reinforced with zigzag, diagonal braces which make it uncomfortable to hold at times. It's okay, and you might find these drawbacks don't bother you, but it's something people should know about before buying. Update: I use this scoop every day, even though I still have a few issues with it. It is very sturdy and gets an unpleasant job done a little bit...

Kathleen: It is a nice big scoop if your kitty prefers a larger box, but for me it didn't work as well as I had hoped. One of my kitties likes to clear all the litter away from a spot to pee on and then scoop the litter back on top which hinders the litter clumping properly. This scoop works great for solid clumps but no so well for the smaller ones that fall through the holes.
