M. Coon: You have the time to read this VERY Concise book. It is time better spent than trudging virtuously through Robin Diangelo's annoying and pointless White Fragility.
Get it.
Read it.
Really.

Lael: Like others, I was duped into this book thinking it was Wilkerson's book. It is TRASH and I can't believe University Press printed it. Unlike others who think it could have been written by a high school student, I think it reads like an elementary primer. It's discussion of racism is absolutely terrible. I've been doing anti-racism work for over 30 years. What a waste of money and paper. Don't get duped!

Rebecca: This was an extremely well written and totally captivating book covering the caste systems of American , the Third Reich and India. I learned so much! This was like taking another step into reality and understanding of our current race problems here in America. I think this should be required reading in college.

casabeca: This brilliant book displays some of our thorniest issues thru and altogether new lens.
It is not a cheery book, more of a book that will nourish you and make you stronger, it is
highly recommended.

J Skeen: I thought I was buying Isabel Wilkerson's bestseller "Caste" which has been repeatedly recommended to me. And I realize I clicked the wrong thing and Amazon is working with me on that. But before returning it I thought I'd see if it was something I could use in the college courses i teach- working to be openminded about this mistake. I must say- this is not only a waste of money, it's a waste of paper and maybe even counter productive to open discourse, certainly to good scholarship. While it is branded as "University Press" there is no institution or author mentioned anywhere, in fact, not even a location. The content isn't just over simplified or poorly written- it is not based on any research or critical thinking. Again- I thought I'd see if it could be a basic discussion starter for college classes. I am writing this review because I find this kind of "publishing" dangerous. No source, no author, no grounding in context. It says it is a brief history but has no chronological grounding either. So this isn't just a waste of money, it's a dangerous charade of any kind of scholarship.

Booklover: I would have preferred a more in-depth discussion of the issues. This booklet seems to skim the issues.
