Charles Bane: I love this author; his writings could never be solely about one subject only, not even one as fascinating as grizzlies . When was the last time you read an American non- fiction writer who grows restless if he goes too long without working with his hands?

Carole Julius: DOWN FROM THE MOUNTAIN is a balancing act that gives us a moving and insightful story "...without disrespect and without sentimentality" (Barry Lopez ). Having lived in the Mission Valley witnessing bears doing what they do, I was inevitably drawn to what is essentially a straightforward tale as Bryce Andrews weaves relationships between the bears (Millie and her cubs), the farmer, tribal wildlife officials and the author himself.

Little Butterfly: I loved reading the book about the work Bryce Andrews does to save the Grizzly Bears. His story kept me on the edge of my seat while he tells about the work he does to help save the bears while they are foraging so close to his projects. Bryce Andrews is an AWESOME writer.
