Jim White: I so enjoyed accompanying the author on his travels to all the National Parks. This was especially meaningful to me during a summer that I was very ill and mostly unable to even leave my patio other than doctors appointments. Thank you for this lovely book!

I think that expectation is why some reviewers were disappointed, but it's right there in the title -- this is a STORY about the author's "journey" through the parks and how it impacted him. Michael Bagby: I really enjoyed this book. It was entertaining and informative. I appreciated the author's approach of discussing different themes as they related to his experiences and the parks. - This is not just factual information about the parks. Highly recommend.
