Black Invader: It is so good to read a series and find a consistent storyline which actually makes sense. To see that through to the end is an actual accomplishment which is unsurpassed. Thanks and of course I recommend reading, all this series but delve also dear readers into reading any other of Glynn Stewart’s books.

Yabba dabba do: Glynn Stewart is an excellent and prolific writer! I’m truly amazed at his military and detailed mind. My only issue would be his overly detailed meetings and complex situations-which is true in each book. Though I enjoy the books, I do find that I do a lot of skimming over those sections.

If you haven't read any of the starship mage books, I highly recommend reading the first one, as it introduces the characters and concepts of this awesome hybrid universe. This book is not a jumping on point, but if you read it completely out of context of the rest of the series, you would still be in for an amazing journey with spaceships and magic. Much harder Sci fi than you would expect from a series with magic, and an extremely well thought out magic system, if that is a nitpick of yours.
Stewart manages to balance the three plot lines he sets up in this novel and weave them together to a satisfying conclusion. The characters get a decent amount of development, and I'm content with the ending.
The only nitpick I might have with the book is that it doesn't move the series metaplot as much as I would like, but that was likely a result of the author choosing to make an independently compelling story.
All in all, if you are a fan of this series, read this book all ready.
If you are a fan of Sci fi or fantasy, and have been on the fence about this series, Start with The Starship Mage.
If you are a fan of both Sci fi and...

Raandvalk:
This was a rather special extension of the Starship Mage series as it brings it back to the "problem" of the Promethean Drives. Concepts are turned on their heads as Kelly La Monte and Rosslyn Chambers prosecute the Martian Protectorate's battle against the Legion. Suddenly a new player is in their midst - a Promethean named Sharon Devearaux - and that brings a whole new understanding and anguish to the mage world.
Thank you Glynn Stewart for writing.

Luiz Henrique Nogueira Modesto: Another great book. Action packed and filled with touching scenes, dramatic moments, tension and heroic sacrifices. Definitely worth the read.

Oberon60: The characters are well thought out and many are very likeable. The plots are interesting and the books very good "space opera". The main characters change over the series but one is always waiting for what happens next.

Warning: Don't finish this book just before a web meeting because you will have puffy eyes.
I read ~250 Kindle Free books per year and am reading along with 3-4 dozen different active series. To be honest, with that sort of volume it takes me a few chapters with some series to remember what's going on.
That is NEVER the case with this series. It is *SO* memorable, I always pick up right away from the last book even though it's been months (sadly). Furthermore, this is one of the few series I make a real point of tracking when the next book is out because I love reading them so much.
There are some series where it seems like the author is phoning it in after the first half-dozen or so books. That's simply not the case here. Great book, great characters you come to care about (hence, the weeping), and a really cool universe.
Highly recommend.

John Ashmore:
RMN Mage-Commander Roslyn Chambers and MISS spy Captain Kelly LaMonte team up again for another mission, finding the First Legion. Admiral Muhammad, dictator of the First Legion wouldn’t know the names of lowly Mage-Lieutenants or Mage-Commanders, but he knows Roslyn Chambers’ name, the woman who’s brought fire and chaos to the Republic and now the Legion.
A very engaging and satisfying story with plenty of twists and great characters that will keep you reading way too late into the night. During this journey we discover the Prometheans, Chimerans and for the first time glimpse a Reejit outpost. The discovery of the Prometheans raises unsettling questions for the Protectorate’s mages.
A fun read and great addition to this series.
I received an ARC for my review and purchased my own copy to support the author.
