N. Froemming: While I’m a big Bowie fan, and was interested in the list of his top 100 books, I learned these weren’t necessarily his favorite books. Also, the author merely speculates why Bowie may have chosen these books. Not really Bowie’s opinion. The book was poorly bound and pages 40 and 42 literally came out of the book. I cherish books and handle them carefully, so I didn’t mishandle the book.

Kindle Customer: I was looking for a list of David Bowie’s favorite reads and found this book, which turned out to be more than just a mundane list. It does have the 100 books that “changed” his life but it also breaks them down giving a book report. Very nicely done.

Kiran Shetty: Don't expect a detailed book about Bowie's life but as you should get introduced to someone you are fascinated about. This may be the 1st in many books you read about him.

Layla Wolfe: My sister purchased this for me at Powell's in Portland. I promised to give it to another friend but wanted to keep it, so ordered this for him instead. So fascinating to find out what Bowie liked! I never realized he was so well-read. Very good insight into his wonderful psyche.

Victoria Ward: I bought this book as a gift for my mum for christmas and really loved it when it first arrived- it was absolutely beautiful. However today, when I tried to remove the price sticker so that I could wrap it, I found that the sticker was so well stuck on that when I tried to peel it away it took a chunk of the cover with it. This has left a rather nasty rip in the covering of the hardback back cover, and I no longer think that I can give it as a gift. Again, the content of the book is beautifully written and the book itself is very well presented, but I really really wish that it hadn't come with a sticker attached.

Charlie&Dean: Dies ist ein sehr interessantes Buch. Der Autor stell 100 Bücher vor, die David Bowie in seiner Karriere oder seinem Schaffen beeinflusst haben. Dazu schlägt er weiterführende Literatur und Bowie-Songs zu jedem Buch vor. Leider sind seine Interpretationen oft sehr subjektiv, sowohl was die Aussage der Bücher als auch Bowie's Sicht der Dinge angeht. Ich empfehle es aber trotzdem weiter, weil es doch auch informativ ist.
