Amazon Customer: I have read many travel memoirs and found this book to be an excellent read. Well written, detailed and a woman’s personal experiences- not just of her own personal growth, but also of the people, places, history and culture she experienced. I highly recommend and loved reading this book.

Jgpapillon: As a sailing voyager myself, I truly appreciate the work that Julie has put into keeping track of her and Glen journey during their 7 + years voyage. What an incredible experience this must have been for both of you. You are both very brave to have ventured in some of the country you have visited. I would like to read more of your lives after you sold your Amel. I loved your books and the honest way you described your feelings when things got rough.

ronni marcinkowey: It’s 2020 and we’ve been in various levels of shut down and quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I found myself reading so many books! Scary books funny books memoirs about terrible childhood books about personal struggles and as the COVID-19 continued we found ourselves slipping into some sort of stunned exhaustion at all the things happening in this year 2020. All of our summer plans slipped away having to be canceled One by one due to states of emergencies and travel restrictions and risk of infection-travel,weddings,graduations Etc.So, I kept reading just to get a break from the constant onslaught. Then I found this book, “Escape from the ordinary”by Julie Bradley with a picture of a beautiful sailboat on the cover and decided to give it a read. Sailing was something I’ve never experienced. My water travel was limited to my kayak. So I started to read and was instantly taken on a journey with these two remarkable people I never met written in a way that took me away from all the madness. Every night I pick that book up and took that trip with them and read their stories and was carried away until I drifted off to sleep. It’s a wonderful read, so interesting and...
