Avid ReaderAvid Reader: I loved this bar for the solid wood, appearance, and functionality. I do wish that there was a provision built in to allow for taller bottles that can be obtained from Warehouse stores for vodka, etc. There is one problem I have seen since building it. When I put it together the seams were nice and even and doors closed nicely with nice even spacing. I've never overloaded the side doors at all with excess weight but I'm seeing the seams opening up in the front and left side. A friend of mine is a carpenter and he told me the hinges were bending out on the one side on the top two hinges. The hinges aren't something I can take to the 2home store to match up because they are cabinet hinges. He told me if I start banging the hinges to straighten them out I'll just be weaking the metal and they'll bend quicker next time. I need to do something soon before the bottom hinge bends from the stress of trying to stay straight. Any ideas?

So far I haven't heard a whisper from Crosley. I will buy the hinges from them, I'm not looking for a freebie. I even had to post the same request on the orange home store site since they sell this, but much higher price. Maybe someone there knowns of...

Olivia SmibertOlivia Smibert: The shipment arrived earlier than expected, always much appreciated. Some minor shipping damege, but I repaired with wood glue. The assembly instructions were easy to follow. The quality issue was that all the holes pre drilled for the wood dowels were too large for the 73 wood dowels supplied. I resolved by buying wood dowels the next size up and trimming to length as required. The hole depths were not very precise, which caused a number of problems during assembly, but nothing I couldn’t resolved with either a drill or a saw. Some holes were predrilled slightly off from their needed positions. I got the impression the guy that drilled all the holes wasn’t very careful. I got through it all (no missing parts) and the finished product looks and works great. I am therefor a happy customer.

Amazon Customer: This is a really great bar. I had to replace my bar after a separation. This one was pretty close to what I had, but better in many ways, except one.
First, the good: it’s very sturdy, has room for a lot of liquor bottles, wine glasses, bar accessories, etc. I like that it folds out to create a larger bar space.

The bad: the middle shelf on the swing out shelves is too short to hold even a bottle of Jack Daniels. It’s good for shorter bottles, but it’s really surprising that they would design this in such a way that 2/3 of the shelves on the swing out shelves won’t accept even normal sized fifth bottles.

Overall, if someone asked me if I’d buy it again, my answer would be “absolutely!” Even with the one flaw, it’s a fine piece of furniture and serves its purpose well.

Kyle Thompson: Everything arrived well packed & protected. Took me a couple hours to unpack, verify I had all parts and assemble. There’s a lot of individually wrapped pieces so make sure you have space to lay out and 2-3 hours to assemble. Totally worth the price, time & effort. Totally beautiful piece of furniture. I get compliments on it daily. Very happy with my purchase!!

Caitlin RooneyCaitlin Rooney: The cam bolts didn’t go in easily on most of the items, the holes seemed to be a bit small for them so I needed to really work to even screw them in. There were quite a few times where I could feel the particle board give a bit during assembly and in one case the hole to the cam wasn’t even all the way through so I needed to drill for the rest. The cams didn’t hold the top fully steady but I tightened them as much as I dared for fear of breakage. The worst part is that one of the wooden dowels actually split the wood in the door from the shelf. I checked to see if it could have been a screw or a bolt but it was a wooden dowel. I’ve messaged the distributer and am awaiting a response.

UPDATE: the seller rent me a replacement piece for the one that broke me after drilling the dowel holder a little deeper to prevent the same thing happening, I took the door apart and replaced the piece. It looks so good now. I added an after picture as well to the review.

Edit update. After 2 year of good use, doors are completely wonky now gap between the bottom of the doors is now 1.25” and the top of the doors touch. Doors now rub on frame.

EdnaloyEdnaloy: The media could not be loaded.  After reading really bad reviews muddled in with some really good ones, I decided to take chance on this product. It is an expensive un-assembled furniture piece, but I'm glad I purchased it!

OVERALL: I was very worried that this furniture piece would look like cheap MDF board. While most interior panels are MDF, the base, top and sides are hard wood. Overall the unit looks high quality, like we paid over a thousand for it. The assembly hassles are worth the end product. Customizing it a little, gives you more bang for your buck.

ASSEMBLY: The item comes in 3 boxes with lots of parts. If you feel confident with IKEA assembly you will have no problems with this. Two people will make it go faster, but not necessary. (Average 4 hours for assembly...wine helps!). The cam-bolts did not grip as tight as I would like, but once assembled, the unit feels sturdy. I also used some wood glue with every wooden dowel. I've had mine in use for a month and no issues with the hinges sagging or doors drooping as other reviewers reported. During assembly, I suggest checking if your wine glasses will fit in the hanger sections before attaching them...

Bethany: This bar is fantastic. It's beautiful and well crafted. It holds more than I expected it to. I bought it as a gift for my fiancé and he adores it. We love how we can close it as we do not have excess room to always have it out. It would also be easy to add a lock to it one day when we have kids.

It took for ever to put together though. The screws strip easily if you are not careful.

The quality of the Crosley bar is better then I expected. It’s very well made, solid and heavy, I love it!! Plenty of storage, (freed up my cupboard & cantina space) and best of all as a mother I don't want bottles on display so this was the perfect piece for me!

Closed it looks like a regular cabinet, open it up and your ready for entertaining!!
