EVoCharge Level 2 Electric Vehicle Charging Station for Home Use

L. Hogan: The only worry I have is getting the plug fully connected into my 2023 Kia Sportage.
Does charge my hybrid up in about 3 1/2 hours with max 24A set, much faster than the standard 120V charger. So far everything is good with just making sure charger cord is fully insrted into car.

Mayo KingMayo King: The charger originally worked fine, but now it keeps suspending charge even though I know the charger is receiving power since it indicates it has power available to it. This has been going on ever since I installed the charger but now it's become a weekly occurrence.

Additionally, the wifi functionality of the device never worked. I kept trying to contact Amazon and Evocharge customer service but kept getting mixed answers from they'll send me a new device to just reset the app. Neither of those worked or happened and I haven't heard back from support sense. Would recommend anyone buying to look elsewhere.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?: Good charger. My Nissan Leaf loves it, and I love charging at home. No problems, no worries. We wired up a 240V outlet and plugged it in. Plug in the Leaf, and 30 seconds later you have independence from quick chargers. It charges a 21kW battery overnight.

Randy: The supplied power plug cord was very short. I used a plug and cord to fit my nema 14-30 receptacle. This was easy to do. Charges the ev much faster than the level one charger just as I anticipated.

Roach2010x: I love this EV charger, I got it for my Kona and it works great. It is not a smart charger but a standard charger that works with your cars scheduled charging times. I have it on a 30 amp breaker and installation was a breeze. I had and electrician install the Nema plug for me and I hanged the unit myself. It has a bracket that you screw in the wall studs and it slides right on it. Simple and sleek looking. Love it and recommend it but do wish it had some smart technology in it so that you could see at least power consumption on it.

Rob: This product costs more than many but it is certified in North America which I value. Installation was fine but the switches inside are tiny and require a magnifying glass to set. The option to set amperage was important for me so I could get the most (24amps) from my 30 amp dryer circuit.

Howe SounderHowe Sounder: This is my first and only EV charger, and after 4 months I'm really pleased. It seems of good quality and mounts easily on the wall. I've used the 240v plug that comes with it, but you can hardwire directly into the unit (although the cable enters through the bottom of the unit, not the back, so the cabling will be exposed.) In my months of using it, I've had the unit fault 3 times over about 30 charges--blue charging light goes to red, and the unit shuts off. I don't know whether the car caused a problem or the charger. Hasn't happened in a couple months though. When it did, the only way to clear the fault was to unplug it, which was easy because I could just pull out the 240v plug. If it were hard-wired I'd have to hit the breaker as there's no reset control on the unit. I track every charge using the LeafSpy Pro app--I can say that in the 4 months of using this charger my battery's State of Health has INCREASED from 84.41% TO 85.59% I have to believe that the quality of charge I'm getting from the EVoCharge unit is conditioning the battery very well.

reasonablereasonable: This unit is as described. The white box is actually smaller than a piece of paper (picture attached). It can be set for 40, 30 or 20 Amp breakers at 240V, so that 32, 24 or 16 Amps would be the maximum draw to keep things safe. There is a dip switch setting inside that needs to be switched for the different settings. (picture of the tiny dip switches is attached)

The unit comes with very heavy duty cables. The 6-50 plug and cable is quite substantial but only about 1 foot long, and the charging cable is also quite thick and solidly built, but still flexible enough to handle easily.

As a separate part, they supply a wall mountable holster for the charging plug. This is attached separately from the unit, so you can put it anywhere, and the top of it is also designed so you can loop the cable over the holster instead of on top of the white box. I have attached a couple pictures, but the cable in the pictures is the one that came with my Leaf. The EvoCharge cable is a bit thicker.

I changed the wiring so that it could take a 30A 240V breaker circuit in my house which was used for a dryer. It was very easy to take apart the box with a T20 Torx driver. When...
