Etronic Bike Lock M6 - 6ft Coiled Security Cable Lock with Resettable Combination Combination

Paperclippe: I got one of these ahead of purchasing my bike so that I could set up the combination and stretch it out a bit. The first one I got wouldn't come open, no matter how many different times or ways I set it to "0000." The second one I got seemed to work perfectly, until I was actually using it. Out in the world, caught in the rain, no matter how carefully I set the combination or held it in place, the lock at first refused to close, rendering it ineffective as a security device. When I gave up and just went to store it in my bag and ride home in the rain, I managed to close it, and after that, it never came open again. I even had my partner, a much larger, stronger person than I am, try and get it apart, to no avail. Just glad it wasn't on my bike when that happened or else this company would also owe me a new Schwinn.

A. Isaacs: The lock was very easy to use. We set the code to what we wanted and it is very sturdy. The length is perfect for multiple bikes. The combination portion is very smooth to use and adjust easily.

Shopaholic Extraordinaire: Bought two of these, one in green and one in blue. I needed something functional but inexpensive so my kids could lock their kick scooters or bicycles at school but I wouldn’t be upset if they got lost and needed to be replaced.

Like several of the other reviews said, the blue came cracked. Thankfully it was only cracked where it attaches to the storage clip, which we decided we could live without. The lock was still functional so we’ve used it without issue for three months so far.

Green came in perfect condition and has also been fine these last three months.

PCTech: While this lock has a cheap feel, it is easy to use and easy to set up. While I wouldn't expect it to last several years, if you need a lock in a pinch and don't care about lasting durability, this is a good buy.

Jo Jo: It was a pretty lock, pretty color but it took three of us to realize that the lock was broken or previously unlocked and code changed. I hate returning things as I need to get in the car and make the time and then be without what I needed in the first place. I would say buying a lock online could cause an issue. I just gave up....Update 7/25/2023..The company reached out to me with the above review, knowing I had already received my refund, offered me a new lock for free. I received today and it worked on the first try. They worked hard to make this right and I give them 5 stars for the care they have for their customers

raffals: Good value for money. Combination lock easy to set and works smoothly. Cable long enough (6') to include both wheels and frame of bike when locking. Cable coils itself up nicely and fits into bracket under seat of bike. Order arrived on time. (postage added significantly to price).Only used a week or so so don't know how long it will last.

Poet: It wont stop any real thief. I use it to lock my motorcycle cover when I park my bike outside, since covers are 100$+. The bright color tells people some security measures have been taken too. The combination works well and the whole thing is sturdy though it would die to any powertool

Prime Customer in Canada: The overall quality of this cable lock is fantastic. The coating appears to be very durable and the diameter of the cable strikes the perfect balance between that nice, reassuring feeling when leaving my bike locked up somewhere, yet still having a nice, compact footprint when not in use. It is much less bulky than the Etonic M8 cable lock, yet feels much more secure than the M4.

The ability to set your own combination is a huge benefit, and allows me to not need to memorize yet another random number.

The mounting bracket is simple but works well on my Kona Dew, and securely holds the lock in place. Overall I highly recommend this lock if you need something 6' long and want a quality cable.

Tom W.: One of the best features for this lock is the ability to easily set your own 4-digit combination by simply turning the customize dial, picking your preferred combination, then turning the dial back.

Another thoughtful feature is the holster that attaches to the bike frame, which allows holds the cable via a quick slip on/off motion. The cable is thick and has a smooth plasti-dip coating. It's long enough to string across two bikes if you're biking with a companion or across multiple parts of the frame/wheel on a single bike.

The only negative I can see with this cable is the combination dials are a hard plastic, but plastic nonetheless so it may not last as long as ones with metal dials. However, at this price it's easy to forgive.
