DACDAC: I’m massively reorganizing my tools acquired over 50 yrs of tinkering and fixing things as a hobby. Part of that is getting things out of drawers and out in the open on walls and carts. I thought this set would be a convenient and cost effective way of storing metric and SAE end wrenches on a French cleat wall. Well, it is and isn’t. In short:
- if you are a professional mechanic I’d bet these organizers aren’t for you except for storing duplicate/backup tools.
- If for wall storage, you need to mount on a sturdy backboard because these holders are borderline flimsy but the below problems with thick handles probably won’t be an issue because of the vertical mounting.
- the holder really only works well and securely on specific wrenches. For example my 40 yr old S&Ks don’t fit at all (too thick), my 25 yr old Craftsman work pretty okay down to a certain size then don’t because part of handle too thick for holder (see photo) but my 3 yr old Dewalt metric set fits fine (see photo with black holder) while my Dad’s 60 yr old Craftsman probably would also fit perfectly.
- I thought the idea of buying a set thus saving wall space (see photo) was a good one...

Sharkey: Tried to find a gripping wrench assembly to incorporate into a Milwaulkee Packout unit organizer. This product did the job. I shaped and contoured a foam bed to accept this wrench base so the lid would keep them in place. Worked well...

shooting_star_1shooting_star_1: SUMMARY: This is a great wrench holder. It can be used in a tool box, hung on pegboard and/or take it with you. But make sure you use it correctly if you hang it (more detail below).

DETAILS: I bought two of these holders. A black one that holds bigger to smaller wrenches (top to bottom). And a red one that holds smaller to bigger wrenches (top to bottom). I use one for metric wrenches and the other for SAE wrenches. The two holders hang nicely next to each other on a pegboard (see photo).

The thing you need to know is that if you hang the wrench holder, make sure you hang it using the holes on the back of the product. Do not hang the wrench holder by the handle, as it may break the handle.

The holder can be used in many ways. It's easy grab and take the entire holder with you if you want. It can fit in a tool box and/or you can hang it on a pegboard.

The wrenches fit securely in the holder. The product is a flexible material, so you push the wrench into the provided slots and the holder grips it. I usually use two hands when putting a wrench in or taking it out. The manufacturer says it holders SAE 1/4" to 1 1/8" and metric 6-20mm. I have not tried...

Derek Roth: Works great! Fits my mastercraft ratcheting wrenches really nicely. They fit nice and snug and are held in place very well for solid transport. I ordered 2 and am very pleased.

Farmerbob: Used with Mastercraft 14 wrench sets. keeps wrenches organized and holds wrenches reasonably securely while carrying, however the product is quite flexible and some of the smaller wrenches can be easily displaced if setting them down on an uneven surface or if you bump them against something. Overall, seems to be a good product.
