Anaile: Still sharp as new a year later and it works just as described! My cat and dog love when we use this on them! My vacuum does too 😂

VGC: Purchased this after seeing it in a YouTube video. Whilst pricey it really works. The cat loves it, not as much as a comb, but it seems to really those deeper hairs out that the comb doesn’t, and it does it fast. I’d definitely say to go for it if you’re thinking about it and can afford it. I went for the wooden one which unfortunately the glue they use for the label never really comes off.

Lisa: My long haired cats adore this comb. One rolls back and forth purring like crazy, the other purrs but lays still. I recommend using outside because the fluffs fly everywhere. The only drawbacks are that I still find fluffs on the stairs inside (the cats chase each other up and down, apparently dropping fluffs as they go) and when I use a different, self-cleaning brush on them afterward, I get lots more excess fur than comes off with this comb. But as far as kitty pleasure, this comb seems like a much-adored, pleasurable massage for them.

Jason: Having a Ragdoll we all have the problem with Fur, and whilst this product does a good job and removing the excess fur, its really expensive for what it is, which is basically a hacksaw blade wedged into a piece of wood, had i known i could have made one from bits laying around my house

miss k m o'brien: I rarely write reviews, but this is honestly worth every penny! I have a husky who is blowing his coat and this has changed the game. Doesn't tug at his fur at all, so he allowed me to brush him for much longer 😍🐾

T.: My cat hates being brushed with other cat combs but he tolerates this one. It will prevent painful knots from forming in his long fur since he actually lets me comb him with it.
It's a bit pricey. I don't think the materials cost half as much as what they are charging but it works really well and I recommend it.

Equius Zahhak: We have two cats with very high grooming needs + unique circumstances that make grooming them more difficult. Cat A is long-haired + prone to mats, as well as terrified of any brushes/combs we have attempted to use in the past. We usually have to trick her into letting us brush her, and she usually wises up and flees before we can do much. Cat B is short haired but too elderly to groom himself anymore, so his undercoat builds up and gets gross. Because of his joint pain, we have to be really careful not to tug his hair or apply too much pressure.

I'm writing this review the same day we got the EquiGroomer, but I felt it necessary to review it anyway even though it is still early. Cat A let me brush her for five whole minutes today, which is a record, and it took so much hair off of her. She didn't even run away at the end, she just got distracted by a cricket (mood). While she was away, I brushed Cat B much more thoroughly and removed so much of his undercoat that it formed a condensed ball bigger than my fist. He was purring the whole time and trying to groom my hands while I worked, so I know it didn't hurt him. Cat A returned to watch me brush Cat B and hung out until I...

Josephine A.Josephine A.: Used the equigroomer on one of my chessies for a couple of minutes and collected about half a vacuum bag of fluff. He’s not even blowing his coat right now and typically doesn’t shed much when he isn’t. Have a feeling my vacuum cleaner will be happy I bought this. Best part is he actually seemed to enjoy his brushing which he normally does not. Read some reviews that it was a flimsy plastic piece just set in some wood and wasn’t worth the money. It may not appear that super duty, but I don’t care as long as it gets the job done and it seems like it will hold up well while at the same time be gentler on the coat than some other tools. Thanks for a good product.

Val: It might be a bit pricey but it's the best de-shedding tool you will EVER get for your pet.
My cat demands this to be used on him twice a day, and since keeping this routine we reduced hairball vomiting and cat hair going around on my cardigans and suits.

Jim Farmer: We have 2 short-haired cats who shed a moderate amount and HATE being brushed. We've tried everything from gloves (they chewed them to pieces) to silicone brushes (same) to metal tined brushes (they wouldn't let it touch them) to combs (mix of A and B), but they wouldn't accept any of them. We saw this tool being used by a professional groomer on YouTube, so we thought we'd give it a shot.

I was skeptical when I opened it, because it literally looks like a dull hacksaw blade embedded in a wooden handle. We let the boys sniff at it, then ran it across their sides and...both boys immediately flopped onto the floor for more attention! I have no idea what it is about this design, but apparently it's gentle enough that they treat it like being petted.

I will say that it doesn't pick up a lot of fur at a time, so you need to put more time in than with any of the other tools. That said, if you're starting from zero, anything is an improvement, right?

Quality seems pretty good (like I said, the construction is simple, so it's plenty sturdy), and the price is reasonable. If you have finnicky pets, give it a shot!
