My short haired pup has a rubber curry brush which works great, but I use this and get a ton of loose smaller hairs underneath. So I use this first and then brush with the curry brush to finish getting longer top hairs and to stimulate the oils in the skin. I’m shocked how much I got off with this and it’s pleasant to them if used correctly. Also works great on my short and medium hair cats.

Great for managing my shiba's shedding season. After a pass with the equigroomer, a lot less hair ends up in the brush I use for brushing him after. Dog seems to like it too, sits expectantly for his equigroomer scritches every day!
Only drawback is that it has nothing to catch and hold the shed hairs like a conventional brush/comb, so it's best done outdoors or in an easily cleaned room!

EquiGroomer is the next level. Our Domestic Shorthair kitty was worried when we switched brushes, but I let her sniff it a bit and stroked her a few times and she was fine. I got twice the undercoat fuzz off her without the need to press down to her skin. She doesn't like to be still, so the quicker and gentler dead hair removal is fantastic! My only concern is that I have trouble being careful around the head and neck area due to the heavy handle. I'm hoping for a future version with a lighter handle for use on delicate animals.

I’ll say this does and will not replace brushing or regular grooming if your dog needs that. This is NOT a replacement for that. If you have a doodle or curly coated or “non shedding” or long haired dog of any kind this will not do much for them or you unless their coat is already in good condition. Their undercoat will be terrible and will mat as if you did nothing so unless you devotedly brush them already, this isn’t for that dog unless their coat is already maintained.
So you shouldn’t use it too much with your dog. But if you do? It helps a lot to remove a lot of loose shed. I have a husky mix and she sheds horribly. I’ve been using this about every other month (this is a replacement I lost the last one on a move)
Every month or so groom my dog with this. It really makes a lot of difference for shedding and itching for a shorter coat dog like I have. It does a great job removing extra hair so I don’t have as much around the house. Pro tip: go outside with a grocery bag and just put the fur into the bag. Easy

Sturdy, does the job. I like how the size allows me to fit it in my pooch purse/fanny pack so I can take it with me anywhere. A bit on the pricey side but the quality makes up for it.

I saw this brush used by someone grooming their horse and dog. Gave it a try and am very durprised on how well it works. I even used it on our wild cat. Reduces hair in house and I also used it to clean their sleeping Matt's and cat tree.

I've tried many different solutions to try and get the extra hair out of my cats and this little brush is definitely the best. As long as you do short, quick motions it gets an incredible amount of hair out of them and they don't seem terribly bothered by it. The shape is a bit awkward to get used to but once you get the hang of it it works l like a dream. I am constantly surprised by how much hair comes out of my cats on a daily basis.

My short hair cat loves this brush. He really hated the furminator and it seemed to be damaging his skin. I got 3 months worth of hair off in an afternoon of brushing as much as I was aloud to. Feels like a soft little kitten again.

I use this for my cats. I have two short hairs and one medium hair, and I swear they shed more than long haired cats. My cats are a bit finicky when it comes to brushes, but they seem to like to be brushed by this one! I saw it by a dog groomer, and was first planning to give it to my sister for her cats, but ended up keeping it myself! It was a bit pricey for a pet brush, but so far been working well for my kitties!
