Tyler Baker: After owning the Enya Nova U 23" Cutaway Carbon Fiber Ukulele for a while, I decided to take it up a notch by changing the strings, and the results were impressive.
The carbon fiber construction, which makes this ukulele durable and waterproof, remains a standout feature. It's still my go-to travel companion for its reliability in various conditions.
However, the upgraded strings brought a significant improvement in sound quality. The ukulele now produces a richer, more resonant tone that enhances the overall playing experience. It's amazing how a simple string swap can make a big difference.
The 23" size and cutaway design continue to strike a great balance between portability and versatility. It's compact yet capable of reaching higher frets comfortably, which is perfect for exploring a wide range of melodies.
For beginners, the Enya Nova U remains beginner-friendly, and the included kit with a gig bag, strap, capo, and picks is a handy addition for those starting their ukulele journey.
In summary, the Enya Nova U 23" Cutaway Carbon Fiber Ukulele becomes an even better musical companion with upgraded strings. Its rugged build, portability, and...

M.V.: I've always liked this model. In my opinion, the Nova in either size should be the very first ukulele you aquire. It's just a really neat product.
This is the third one we've got. The black consert and the black soprano being the first two.
I've drilled them all upp (from 8 to 10 mm I think) to replace the machine heads with something a little heftier. (Didn't like the gold color either, so we got sealed chrome ones and some new strap buttons)
It might be down to marigins on the assembly line, but this red one was built alot thicker than the black ones, hence way less brittle to drill.
It also feels a bit sturdier and heavier than the black does.
Might not be useful info to everyone, but there it is. Cheers!

Gabriella Blanchard-ManningGabriella Blanchard-Manning: The media could not be loaded. I included one pic with a ballpoint pen to get an idea of size because I would have really liked that when I was thinking of purchasing. Also a quick video so you can get an idea of sound. Sorry it is out of tune and I am also a beginner so the chords/scales are not perfect! The sound is great and if you know how to strum properly you can get some good projection. Not nearly as twangy as I feared, a warmer tone which is nice when singing along. I have played it for over an hour and it stays in tune with the lower quality strings that come with the ukulele. The ukulele comes with 2 sets of strings and a capo. The case it comes with is also really nice, sleek-looking case which provides a moderate level of protection. I haven't gotten around to decorating it with stickers but if you're into personalization, the sky is the limit. I recommend this ukulele if you're a beginner like me and I imagined more experienced players will enjoy dragging this one along to less hospitable environments where it can get wet and you don't have to worry about damaging the ukulele. The only think I think can be improved is the strap it comes with, it is a little...

KNDY: It has been the biggest surprise that many people have found love with the Enya Concert Travel Ukulele a.k.a. the Nova U, a carbon fiber ukulele.
For one, where many travel ukulele are soprano, Enya released a travel ukulele available in numerous colors but also, extra swag, gig bag and a marketing campaign which has many of the top ukulele YouTubers showcasing it on their channel.
Now, as one who is learning to play ukulele, the idea of a travel concert ukulele is quite exciting.
So, let’s begin with talking about Enya, the first thing one may see is the logo and its similarities to the singer enya. The type-face is totally different and there is no relation to the singer.
Enya is based in China and while many ukulele’s from major brands are made in China, and known as Enya music, unlike other Chinese brands, this company is about quality, affordability and also making sure those who are wanting to learn the ukulele, you get treated with a lot of cool swag and a gig bag but most importantly, the company is known for listening to its customers and improving their product.
The company includes with the travel uke and gig bag, a strap, a capo...

TechFamTechFam: 6 month Update:
I LOVE this ukulele so much. It’s my go-to. I’ve taken it to the beach (back when it was safe to go) and even on a colder evening by the hot bonfire held its tune. The sand adds a little crunch when using the tuning pegs, but still tunes smoothly despite it. Holds its tune really well (except when I bump the tuning pegs when putting it in the case, haha).
I’ve had a couple friends buy a Nova U on my recommendation and they love it as well.
I ended up also getting one in pink with a pick-up so I can record with it. (Surprise Gift from the hubby!)
The Nova U’s just have such a great quality and sound. Equal to my $300 ukulele, easily. Excellent price, quality and design. You won’t be disappointed!
I’d love an option to pay a little more and get a tuner with it. And I still wish the bag had a pocket, but honestly you can fit the tuner and strap and capo inside the bag as it is. (I also said this with my original review, see below)
Summary: I really can’t recommend Enya enough.
They are really great about responding to any questions when I’ve reached out to them on Instagram.
The 25D is also a great ukulele by...

SW: Nice travel uke, strings hold tune very well and its niceto get matching strap and capo. And it comes with an awesome case.
However, the intonation isn't great and gets more and more out of tune on higher frets. I hope that better string might solve this issue. It's not a problem when playing chord in lower positions, but it is when playing fingerstyle up the fretboard.
in short: very good for strumming along with singing, less for more advanced fingerstyle playing.
