I recently purchased Great Battles for Boys: Ancients to Middle Ages for my 12-year-old son, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations. This captivating book takes young readers on an exciting journey through history, exploring some of the most significant battles from the ancient to the medieval times.
Firstly, the book's presentation is outstanding. The cover is visually appealing, and the illustrations throughout the book are vivid and captivating. The layout is well-organized, with each battle receiving its own dedicated section. This makes it easy for young readers to navigate and find specific information they may be interested in. The font and text size are appropriate for young readers, ensuring a comfortable reading experience.

Dorothy: An interesting book that drew in a very reluctant reader. Its fun to read the stories and talk about the battle and be able to do more research when something sticks out for him. I’d highly recommend if you have a kids whose not interested in the kiddy dog type books!

As a boy, I learned most of history from reading about wars. They day, I started this book with my 7yo grandson.
Unfortunately, the black and white images are too small, too dark, and especially for maps, almost useless.
Grandson lost interest, although he did put in a bookmark. I think he needs to be a year or two older.

Kindle Customer: The way Muslims were portrayed, is not entirely true. Based on my other readings.Yes it is true that history is written by the winners, but this book could have been more neutral.
