Mireille: This book was fun and I was definitely intrigued by the mystery part in it. I did find the culprit soon enough though but still couldn’t be 100% sure and had no idea as to why, so I was still looking forward to the grand reveal. I cannot explain why, but this book made me fall in love a little more with Rory than Niels for some reason haha I’m sorry. But still, Niels and Edith were lovely characters and I enjoyed seeing them together. They had great interactions and I did like the whole protector vibe. I just feel like they were both a little soft, I don’t know how to explain myself, it isn’t a bad thing but they did not make that much of an impression on me, that’s all.
The more I read of this series, the more excited I get for each book. We discover a little more about the brothers in every story and it’s just the best. Can’t wait to get to the next book cause... I read the blurb and oh gosh, it looks goooooood!

JWN: I enjoyed reading this book. Edith and Niels are a good couple. They are both smart, capable, logical and good hearted people. Good physical chemistry between them.
The book started off with the mystery of who poisoned Edith and her family. It’s a good plot and has good writing. It’s just that nothing really stood out as extra amazing. It’s an enjoyable book and you won’t regret reading it. Good MC’s and side characters. Interesting things happening as the plot develops.

Edwina: Wow really enjoying this series. Twist and turn. Try and catch who did it if you can. After the first book you know each will not be plain sailing

lisa: There is a formula in this author’s HR where the lead characters are plagued by mysterious attacks. In this book the body count is pretty high as poor Edith’s family dies one by one. But its not bleak because of the many funny moments provided by Edith’s rescuers, the Buchanan brothers. There is also an adorable swearing child.
When Edith is on her deathbed, her friend’s brothers pay a visit and luckily one of them has medical knowledge. While she gets her strength back it is handsome Neils who Edith bonds with, but Neils is not ready for marriage. Even so he works tirelessly with Edith to work out who is killing her family, and why. The big reveal is a genuine surprise, the plot is good and the banter is entertaining. True the basic formula is the same as the rest of the series but this is still fun reading.

JEANNE: This is a novella out of a series of books about a family of brothers.
Although it seems to be a book by itself, actually it is most thoroughly detailed in every way possible.
There are no short cuts and everything is lovely. Ms Sands takes you through each scene in every way and if anything you are actually there in the book as you are actually reading it. To be honest once I picked up the book that was it, as there was no way to put down the book until it was finished.
I have read quite a few of Ms Sands books and even though most of them belong in a series of different subjects, they are so thoroughly done that I would most definitely advise anyone to read them as they are so interesting.
I actually picked up one belonging to my youngest daughter when she was 16 and am actually trying to collect all the different series that she writes.
Please take my advise and read them for yourself because I can guarantee that you will NOT be disappointed in any way whatsoever.
