Elpis 8-in-1 Ceramic Air Fryer with LED Digital Touchscreen - 4.3 QT Capacity, 1440 Watt Power

Tim: I'm not kidding, this thing is so easy to use that we end up using it almost every day. My kids use it for Hot Pockets and Totino's Pizza Rolls. I use it for taquitos and reheating pizza.
I even used it to fry some shrimp I battered. My impromptu recipe needs work, but the unit worked great.
The entire inside, including grate, is Teflon coated. So everything wipes out easily with a paper towel.
Since everything we cook in it is exposed to 380+ degrees for a minimum of 8 minutes, we hardly bother washing it. Bacteria can't survive in that environment(the whole reason we cook food at all), so we just wipe it out after each use and leave it there. It's way easier to wipe out when still hot. So open it, plate your food and leave it open, and just before enjoying your meal, the unit should be just cool enough to avoid any burns but make clean up a breeze.

It's not worth knocking a start off in my opinion, but one of the touch buttons to lower the temp doesn't work. Since the unit defaults to lowest temp each time you start it, and you only ever go up from there, it's a non-issue. Had it been any other button, it would have been a deal breaker and return.

LLoh: This is our first air fryer and it won over the other brands because it has ceramic and not Teflon coating and we liked the footprint and overall look. It does its job well - we finally get to eat French fries, breaded meats, etc without the guilt. While the drawer is too small for a whole chicken, it's big enough for a cornish hen - turns out crispy outside and tender inside. Lots of online recipes to choose from. Drawbacks are that the temperature is that the placement of the Timer and Temperature controls do not correspond to those of the respective displays, and that it is not as non-stick as expected so the drawer grid is never clean enough to my liking...but hey, at least I'm not ingesting Teflon so it's a small price to pay. Perhaps in their next model, they'll consider making the drawer in stainless steel.

four-t: I really like my new air fryer. I previously owned a Farberware AF, and although it performed great for my needs as far as cooking, the cleanup was a nightmare. Right from the start it had a greasy buildup that could not be removed not matter what. This Elpis is fantastic to clean. I like lifting out the grill instead of an inner pot, and being able to wash it under hot water because of the non-stick surface. Also the main cooking pot is just as easy to clean. The only reason I threw the previous AF away was because it got so hideous with build up, I knew it was no longer sanitary to use. The only negative I find with this fryer is that there is no power off/on mechanism. When you remove the pot earlier than the time scheduled it still wants to finish the cooking cycle. That could be improved, but not enough of an issue for me to knock the rating. And since my kitchen is blue, it was very nice to find an AF in that color. Overall, I would purchase this again, and even gift it to someone. It is also very simple to use with no learning curve. The size is just right for my husband and I.

Cami: So happy with my purchase! This is literally all I use now. I make almost everything in it. I came across it because I was looking for a white air fryer with a “modern look” to match my kitchen. I do have to say when I used it for the first time it did have a toxic smell, but I asked several friends with air fryers and they have all told me it also happened to them with their air fryers. It goes away after the first use though, and after that trust me when I say you will be so happy with it! I don’t know why I didn’t purchase it before, it’s really a life saver. Especially when I don’t have a lot of time to cook or don’t feel like cleaning. It’s easy to use, easy to clean, and the food doesn’t come out greasy. I just toss whatever I like in the air fryer, preset it and within minutes it’s done. Chicken, bacon, burgers, french fries, plantains, veggies, potatoes, cheese sticks, whatever you like- it can most likely be cooked in this.

ScottScott: This does not look like ceramic. The insides appear to be teflon. Teflon is horrible for the body. Nothing in the documentation that comes with the unit states it is ceramic. The Amazon ad states "ceramic" but honestly I think that is not truly the case. Look at the photos I posted of the rack and the bowl. This thing does cook great. Everything I threw at it came out fantastic. If the manufacturer proves the bowl and grill are truly made of ceramic, then they have a 5-star product on their hands.
