AutumnElf: I needed these for a long time. The first thing I adhered was a sticker that came off a folder. It had cat hairs on the back and was no longer sticky. I removed the hairs as best I could and applied the gluestick. It stuck fast and firm. Love Elmer's brand.

km: This glue is not messy at all like the purple stuff. While I was able to get these around the same unit price as the purple ones, even if they are a little more expensive, they should last longer and provide a better gluing experience. So far I have not had any issues with clumps or anything like the purple stuff. While it is harder to see where you've put it compared to the purple stuff, that's hardly a deal breaker. I can angle my view so I can see whether light reflects off spots, no big.

J.Z.: The glue sticks was an attempt to find an alternative adhesive to Yes Paste. Because I am often using it for small pieces it is hard to use. I did apply it with a brush sometimes and that was better. it doesn't seem to be water soluable so had to be careful not to let it dry. I would recommend it for many projects. Moderately helpful for mine. Generally a good product.

lorraine allen: They work perfectly to attach things together; in my case in particular it's papers. I had been buying smaller glue sticks from Elmers but found myself often running out but now i won't as i have a 12 pack and they're 22 g's each so much more product than the 5 g's size i had been using and Amazons price can't be beat!
