Visit the Elk Ridge Store today to get your hands on one!HeWhoRemainsHeWhoRemains: This is a beautiful knife, with a great finish. I have yet to actually test the blade on this knife, as i did not purchase it for EDC. I just liked the way this knife looked. It came just as it was pictured, minus the "ballistic" stamp on the blade. That was definitely not on the blade as you can see in the pictures i provided. The knife feels well made and does not appear to be cheaply made and for the price youre paying there is really nothing to complain about. It would be an exceptional gift for anyone with an interest in knives or not, as the aesthetics are very nice.

Mo H.: Bought this for my 11-year old Boy Scout. It is a man-sized knife that opens quickly with a push on the nub of the blade. It acts like a switchblade, but for purposes of California law, it is not -- there is no spring, just really good design and leverage. When it opens, it locks in place, which is a safety feature I require for a folding knife.
In our family, we consider good knives to be tools, and use them often for hundreds of tasks. This one does what has been asked of it well, and seems very sturdy. My son just returned from a Scout forest camping trip where he used it several times for various chores, and it worked perfectly.
It impressed me enough that I bought another (with wood handle) for myself, and another for my older sister, who carries it for defense.
Two thumbs up.

Ivanova9Ivanova9: I compared this Elk Ridge knife ER-A003 and a similarly priced mtech knife MT-A853. In the photos this knife is on the left mtech on the right. I liked the styling a bit more on the mtech and the blade flipped out faster on mtech. This elk Ridge knife is a bit bigger, chunkier and heavier than the mtech but the elk ridge feels better in the hand with a superior grip and weighting. This knife's liner lock is more reliable than mtech. I feel like this knife is a bit sturdier because it has 3 pins in the handle holding it together vs only two in the mtech. Last but not least is the clip which is same in size and material but mtech has 'upside down' orientation. Overall I preferred this knife over the mtech for look, feel and construction.

Terminator ZTerminator Z: this is by far my favorite knife.
compared to an mtech folding knife non "spring assisted".
this knife is far heavier. it seems like a mini saber. You could slash with it. It has its own weight.
other knives that are too light. they are too light. you would need far more pressure with your arm.
to slash or stab. in a fight. far more than with a medium weighted knife.
as far as the spring assisted action goes - it's superior to folding. why. with one single click motion - although delayed - you can open the knife. you don't need a 2 part series to open the knife. you don't need 2 hands.
my folding knife needs to be opened like a spring assisted to open up initially, then switch to a thumb action to finish the job.
Unless you apply a shit ton of pressure with the thumb - in which you may disarm or cut yourself.
Also with a spring assisted, such as this one, there is no doubt, if local "authorities" in your area - ban switchblades.
whereas a folding knife is not naturally open, it's also not naturally closed. nothing really resists its open besides the initial burst.
i'm sure it's not a switchblade. but with an assisted opening knife,...

Weldon Jones: I gave this knife 5 stars all the way. This is a big knife, heavy in weight, good sturdy blade. The knife has a strong spring assist, and sharpens real easy to a razors edge. I’ve had this knife for a couple of months, just decided to write a review. I paid $5 bucks for this knife and it’s worth every penny. I will say that I’m a collector so I don’t use anything but my E.D.C. But I certainly don’t think you’d go wrong with spending a few bucks for a decent knife.
