Muchgum: Been using this Knife for everyday use. I'm not sure why I didn't think it would be as large as it is. Likely my inexperience with knives in general. I tried a little paper testing for sharpness out of the box and only one small section of the blade was as sharp as I really would like for it it be so I recommend sharpening the blade before use. Works great for cutting cardboard and tape, I wouldn't be surprised at all if you could do some wood craving with it either. Seems solid enough for a $12 knife, although, the leather cord falls apart easily, just remove it and find something better if you need a something. Also, the wood scales feel, for lack of a better word, cheap, they look fine but I would recommend not dropping the knife a long distance. I also noticed one of the screws sticks ever so slightly above the scales and I cant tighten it more I don't really notice it in use though and it's not loosening from what I can tell. I don't notice any real play with the blade and while the flip open was a bit stiff at first it is quite smooth now and I've had no issue with the blade lock, but I haven't abused the knife much either so I'm not sure how it will change...

Steve Chapman: I don’t normally write reviews, but....First off, I bought one. Upon inspection, I immediately ordered two more. It’s a pretty knife. Simply an excellent value. Yes, they are made in China. In this case, it’s not an indictment of the build and quality. The handle is clearly not a solid hardwood, but is attractive and serviceable.
The stainless components far exceeded expectations. The clip is very secure. The spring assist is smooth and locked blade in place after just a few warm up tries. It unlocks and closes very smoothly.
The blade is heavy and extremely sharp. Out of the box, each knife passed the paper test on the mailers they came in.
Some folks may say it’s a bit heavy and large for EDC. I get it. If needs tightening, (probably a non-issue) you’ll need a set of Torx keys. 2 sizes of screws. Buy a set with the money you’ll save on tis knife. Never a bad item to have around anyway.
I’ve purchased $9 knives before. Nothing comes close to this item.

Forensic Evaluation: This is the best knife I have ever bought and for $10, it is impossible to beat. Sure you can buy a Buck knife, but this was is twice as sharp and holds its edge for at least four times as long as any Buck I have ever owned and the best part is one can buy this knife, a fixed blade hunting knife, a machete, a small axe and a bowie knife from Elk Ridge for the same price as a cheap Buck folding knife. Yes Elk Ridge is made in China, but you can't tell that in any logical fashion, other than the stamp on the blade. This is a very heavy, sturdy, and sharp knife with a spring assisted mechanism that works better than I have ever owned. I would highly recommend this knife-THERE IS NO WAY YOU WILL FIND A BETTER KNIFE FOR THE PRICE ANYWHERE ON EARTH...I put the three Gerber knives I have been using in a drawer to draw dust once the Elk Ridge line arrived.

ND: I'm very pleased. This knife is a great value.

* The Spring assist is very good; the blade opens quickly and snaps into lock with a small flick of the finger
* The ffit and finish seem good; it feels good and it looks good
* The blade is solid; I like the stainless steel blade material for my purposes
* The liner lock is secure; the knife will not close unexpectedly. Some people like liner locks, some don't. They are certainly not a "design flaw". They are a widely used and safe way to prevent accidental closure. In this price range, a liner lock is one of the best design choices in my opinion.

I have no complaints at all.

Greg: For a low cost folding assisted opening knife I have to say I'm pretty impressed. When you see a low price online it's easy to be skeptical. The knife came sharp (is it razor sharp, no, but still sharp enough for most everyday tasks). The knife opens well and easily. The knife actually looks as good in person as the picture. The only downside is the [faux] leather lanyard. Like the other reviews say it's cheap and weak. The second thing I did after opening the knife for the first time and examining it when it first arrived was break the lanyard off (easily) because it's a waste of time. Otherwise, a pretty good knife for the price point.
