Worked fine to locate my car's A/C leaks. The maximum sensitivity setting (7) is VERY sensitive. I used a setting of 2 successfully. It automatically adjusts to the background refrigerant concentration in the air. And the price is amazingly good.

Found a leaky high side Schrader valve leak on my 2013 Silverado. Took me all of 10 minutes to find the leak. The fact that this thing does all the different gasses makes is super handy, and it is certainly priced right.

It is alright but like they say you get what you pay for. I will be saving up for the Fieldpiece unit. I guess it will get you buy if on a budget but it will have you chasing your tail. Had the thing going off for no apparent reason cause there was no leak in evaporator coil but it went off with resident standing over my shoulder and caused a big to do. Needless to say it's new home is in the landfill LOL. It could have caused a law suit and big problems for ow er of the property as resident complaining that they knew it had a leak and they heard the tester going off and I was trying to cover it up and everything so I would sY use t at your own discretion and try to make sure the home owner or resident is not standing over your shoulder incase the thing wigs out and starts beeping for no reason.

I had a 410A leak which I found in minutes. The tip is rated for 25 hours of use, and I dont see how to replace it. I will never need to. Take the batteries out, back in the case, it will last my lifetime of use. I turned it on outside just to assure clean air for initial calibration.
