I ordered a new bedroom set from Ashley for my daughter without realizing it didn't come with a box spring. Now after it's delivered and set up I can't put my daughter's mattress on it because it didn't have a box spring (previous bed was platform bed) I have a good air mattress for temporary use but needed a box spring quickly.
I thought of Amazon almost immediately and found what I was looking for quick and easy and delivered next day in time for my daughter to sleep on her new bed.
This box spring was quick and easy to put together and very sturdy, I really like it and recommend it!

Alejandra: So, I bought this metal box spring because my old one broke (it was one of those wooden ones with springs). Anywho, I would've given this 5 stars, but I had 1 inconvenience when assembling. There were these screw thingies, and when I saw that it wasn't going in I panicked, because I was really looking forward to a new box spring, and I needed one for my new mattress. Until I noticed that the framing hadn't been properly pushed in on only one part. I got a hammer and tapped it with little to no aggression, and it went in! So, I was finally able to screw in the screw. After that, I finally got everything together by myself.
Here are some tips when assembling:
1. It's not heavy or light.
2. Make sure to have someone help you so it'll be easier and faster.
3. If you didn't have anyone help you during the assembling, at least have them help you put the cover on, because it was a pain to do it by myself.
4. Make sure you have the Top and Bottom on the correct sides.
5. Once everything is done, put it on your bed, and make sure to put the side that says Top facing up, and the Bottom facing down.

HeavenInHeelsHeavenInHeels: I caught sight of a review that said to build it inside the liner instead of building it then trying to cover it with the liner. So I did that. It took less than ten minutes for me to lay down the liner, zipper side up, unzip, put the big framing piece inside with consideration to which side faces the floor (top), open the “arms/sides” readjusting liner as I went. I clipped on the head and foot of the mattress one corner at a time (this is where it got snug). Four screws. No additional tools needed.

I stood/sat inside the framing when putting in the cross bars. I lifted one side, lined up the cross bar, repeated for the other side, and pushed down to put into place (remember the “top” is facing the ground). Repeat.

Zipped up with some readjusting again. Then done. Two twins worked for the king bed but I had to put them both in at the same time at angles and push down together (like closing French doors simultaneously). I couldn’t put one in flat, then the other because I wasn’t strong enough to shove the second one inside the side rail completely.

Getting two twins instead of one king was also easier for me to maneuver around the room by myself.

ljm: I ordered this boxspring because I am currently staying at a friends house. She has a mattress on a platform, but no boxspring and I needed more support for my back. The box arrived on time and is about 5 feet high, but only about a foot wide. It is heavy, but I managed to carry it up 20 steps alone without difficulty. I do not lift weights, and it is equivalent to the weight of my suitcase when I travel. The instruction book is in many languages, but is only pictures which I find much harder to use then having words. However, that said, I was able to assemble this in about 20 minutes by myself. No tools are required, and it is very sturdy. The hardest part was placing the included cover over the frame. You have to stretch the cover very tight in order to have it fit the corners but it did not rip and is a perfect fit once you get it on. I could not understand the picture direction and ended up putting the boxspring on its side and then putting the cover over it. It was easy to maneuver into the bedroom and onto the bed by myself. And it definitely makes my sleep better.

S. Mitch: After reading other reviews I assembled on top of the cover so I could easily fit it in and zip up afterwards without having to manoeuvre it around too much. Assembled by myself, taking less than 30 mins and no tools required. Definitely recommend.

Kevin Hesse: So I have a king size hybrid latex memory foam mattress I bought over 6 years ago That I had on top of the expensive ikea lonset wooden bed slats, felt fine the first couple years. Then slowly more and more over the years I would sink into either side and had to sleep in the middle over the steel beam below for any sense of normalcy, the tossing and turning all night progressively got more frequent over the last 2 years. After talking with some not so smart people who said those mattress usually don't last so long and suggested I needed a new mattress. So, instead I bit the bullet and purchased this thinking those slats were the problem and turns out THEY WERE. It feels like an entirely new bed and new mattress. SO GLAD I tried this first instead of paying 1000+ on a new mattress. One of those Amazon purchases that is worth every cent and Wish I would have done a long time ago. So easy to put together myself in less than 25 min and pull down the hall to my bedroom. You DONT need a rubber mallet like some suggest you just have to grab the side bar with both hands and use both thumbs to easily push the crossbars into place.

Me llegaron unos tenis sin plantillas y además venían sucios, evidentemente no eran nuevos. Sin etiquetas y con una caja de cartón hecha por ellos. La devolví y me devolvieron mi dinero afortunadamente. No caigan en esta estafa. I received some sneakers without insoles and they also came dirty, obviously they weren't new. Without labels and with a cardboard box made by them. I returned it and got my money back thankfully. Don't fall for this scam.: Me esperaba un box mas grande (alto) pero para ser desmontable, está muy bien. Los materiales son buenos y si necesitas una llave o dado de matraca de 10 mm si no mal recuerdo, para armarla por completo.
Siento que está bien para una cama de visitas por lo bajo que está, que es el caso que yo la utilice, pero si va ser para ti, te recomiendo le inviertas $100 MXN más y te compres uno más alto.

RJ: When it's finally set up it's actually a good replacement for a box spring. It took some persuasion to fit everything together, it's a tight fit, but it's sturdy because of this. If you have a rubber mallet you're already one step ahead of where I was.

The middle supports are all about a half inch shorter than they should be, because they fit just so on the edge of the brackets on either end. They fit in tightly though so I don't expect they'll move and fall. The edges were the most difficult part to assemble. I had to bend some of the pieces straight again in order to get the brackets aligned, but it was easy enough to do if one corner was already put together.

The cover was the easiest part to put on, just put the top on first and zip the bottom to it. All in all I think it's a quality option. It was just hell to put together. Also, one of the four fasteners sits in at an angle, but it feels tight.

Update:
After some use it has developed a slight squeak when you get off it, then again I weigh 180lbs at 6ft so it is a bit small for me anyways. I ordered the full size and I have to lay diagonally to stretch out without my feet touching the edge.
