James: We had plastic in the 60s, and then Mom bought Corelle. Well, very stupidly I wanted China and so did my wife, so for years we had china. Our salad plates were chipping something fierce, so I looked for alternatives, and came across Corelle in the store, but they didn't have the pattern we wanted. We ordered off Amazon and from the company website, and couldn't be happier. The Corelle are much lighter, and I can stack three times the number plates in the same space. We have had our Corelle for six months, they look as new as the day we got them. We have hard tile kitchen flooring and one dinner plate fell and hit flat side, and didn't break. One of our salad plates fell and hit edge side and broke cleanly in two. But none of our plates look scratched yet, and none of our plates has a chipped edge. Impressive, and I am telling you dropping china plates on our tile breaks them any which way they hit. I should have bought Corelle years ago.

Reout SaguiReout Sagui: I've known Corelle plates for many years now - my dad owned a set and I always thought they really were great: light-weight, unbreakable, and pretty. My husband and I just moved to a new home, and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to throw (donate!) our old heavy china plates and buy ourselves a Corelle set of our own. I chose this model (Classic Café Blue) as it is not as boring as the plain white ones, but not too specific like flowers or cartoons that you can easily get tired of - A real classic tasteful set. I bought two 18-peice sets, an they arrived in one week from the US to my home in Israel, and I can't be more satisfied. They're prettier in person, and really durable and convenient just as I remembered them! Again I highly recommend these! Every household needs a Corelle set. Thanks.

Kindle Customer: I had some old Corelle plates and was impressed with how well they wear with dishwasher cleaning. Two sets of these plus some extra pieces take up less space than my old dinner set.

Less one star because the side plates and bowls are quite small.
