Electric Stovetop by Techwood - Perfect for Cooking Meals

Circuitrider: I have a very small kitchen in my apartment and have to use small appliances because there is no kitchen range. I purchased another brand of hot plate previously, but it did stay at the desired temperature. Although this one does not have degree markings on the heat control knob. It doesn't take long to figure out where to set the control knob to obtain the temperature you need. This hotplate is very substantially built, doesn't slide around on my countertop, and works very well. It is a bit slow to warm up and, like all hotplates that use this type of burner, it stays hot for quite a while after it is turned off. You can, therefore, turn it off before your food is cooked and save on power use.

shopper: I bought this for emergency use with my generator and haven't cooked on it . Did a burn off and the body got very warm, but OK. I like the size and can be used with all cookware and 1500w.

Anikrou: The temperature control is so frequent that it takes a lot longer to cook something, However, it is durable and convenient; and works well if you don't mind the extra cooking time.

I wanted the two burner unit initially, however, I realized that if I bought two separate burners I could really maximize their portability. I don’t know about other cooks, but I’ve always had this little fantasy about being able to cook in other rooms besides the kitchen. For example, during the holidays, I do a lot of baking, candy making, etc. My kitchen is small and so if my daughter is home, it can quickly get too crowded. As a passionate baker and cook, having only four burners is extremely limiting. So all I need to do is take one of these burners and bring it in my dining room. I placed a heat protection pad underneath it. I get my double boiler going And once my chocolate or caramel is melted I can roll my candies or whatever else I need to do while sitting at my dining room table. It’s a nice break from a hot kitchen and my feet appreciate the rest too :) These burners are like a little rescue angels.
