Maribel: I purchased this hat for a weekend festival. I needed it to be light, flexible and easy to store. Let me tell you, it was all of these things!
Besides protecting me from UV Rays, It was durable and last me the entire weekend without an issue. When the sun went down, I easily folded the hat into 4 folds and threw it into my fanny pack where it fit perfectly. Taking it out the next day - it popped right back into place.
Overall very good design, and lightweight!

Vie: I've been on the hunt for a sun hat for a while, and this one finally checked all the boxes. The best part? It fits my big head comfortably!
I decided to go for this hat based on reviews and I'm so glad I did. It looks great, and it actually fits without feeling tight or uncomfortable. I used it for my trip into the Arizona desert, and not only did I feel protected, but I also looked stylish (with fitting sunglasses)!
The adjustable strap comes in handy on windy days. You can also carry the hat on your back if you put the strap around your neck which proved particular useful for taking pictures where you don't want the hat to cover your face. I'm also hoping it can handle light rain, which I'll find out soon.
Initially, I bought the Khaki version but didn't like the color, so I exchanged it for the Beige one, which I absolutely love. One thing to note is that it had a bit of a chemical smell when first unpacked, so I recommend airing it out overnight before use. The smell disappeared after a day.
Overall, this hat is a fantastic choice and it comes at a great price. If you can plan on airing it out before using it it's an excellent product.

I'm giving it four stars instead of five because the folding feature impairs the aesthetic quality of the hat a little bit, so if you are worried about how you look, you might want to find another version of this particular style of sun hat. The hat is designed to fold evenly in half, to make it easier to transport, and this feature is good because it makes it convenient to put in a backpack, and take to the park, or on a hiking trip. However, because it folds, it never fully straightens out when you put it on your head, which means it looks a little funny. I personally don't mind this because I use the hat for gardening, and not to make a fashion statement, and at this price point, this hat has great value. The sun protection on the hat is excellent (50 UPF), and the wide brim makes it so you can work outside, even without the use of sunglasses. I had a sunburn on my neck, so I wore this for a few days, even in the hot, summer, midday sun, and had no problems. My neck healed quickly thanks to the constant shade provided by this hat's long brim. The hat is lightweight and vents well, has adjustable straps for both the chin strap and the crown/headband...

An American consumer: I'm not a hat person in general, because I hate wearing hats!
Nevertheless, I ordered this one because our planet is heating up and I live in a location that gets hotter than the hubs of hell in spring, summer, and fall. The sun here is so intense it seems to shine through cinderblock! I mean, this place is hotter than Brooke Shields was in that Blue Lagoon movie! And boy did that film lead to some serious fantasy and self-abuse sessions during my hormone-fueled adolescent years. But I digress...
In short, I didn't want to end up like a beloved friend of mine who was taunted to the end of his days by insensitive louts who derisively referred to him in public and private settings as Mr. Melanoma Neck. His last months were sad, pock-marked, and painful after having been whittled on for years by dermatologists seeking to exorcise him from the Cancer Demons, so I thought it prudent to outfit myself with some thermonuclear protection in the form of a wide-brimmed hat.
I'll be upfront with the fact that I sweat like a hog in the livestock reception area of a Smithfield plant. When I put on a hat, it becomes drenched in seconds if I'm doing the least bit of movement....
