Found this fly spray from the Straight from the Horse Doctor's podcast. It works very well, and seems to last longer than others, and it makes me feel better that it uses fewer harsh chemicals than most. I don't mind the smell at all, but my barnmates dont like when I use it before we ride together, so take that as you will.

I’ve read many other reviews and I want you to know that I agree with ALL of them ! Is this highly effective? YRS ! Does it smell kind of bad ? YES ! Does it make your horse sneeze ? YES ! ( depends on the horse!)
I actually feel kind of badly using it on them because I really think the smell isn’t pleasant to them
But .. it works!!

No sprayer included in my last order of this exact product, despite the picture. The liquid is great but very inconvenient to dispense due to the smaller bottle neck size and other sprayer tops not fitting it. I expected the spray bottle shown in the pictures. I did not order the refillable one, but this one.

First, let me say, people really need to calm down on the whole smell thing...seriously!! The smell is not as strong as so many make it out to be. Would I wear it for a night out on the town, no...but does it feel like I'm in a gas chamber, absolutely NOT! The only unpleasant experience I've had is it does not taste good. Suggestion: Don't spray and then walk into it with your mouth open lol.
Ok, now down to the function of the product. This by far is the best fly spray I have ever used. Once sprayed on the gnats, little black flies and greenheads exit stage left, quickly. The only fly that doesn't appear to be fazed by the product are the big bombers...have yet to find a product that can fend off those little spawns of Satan.
Now onto the timeline the product stays active as well as price. The spray does not last the 2-3 days the company claims; even after applying to a freshly bathed, dry, horse. EcoVet probably would have all 5-star reviews if they just stated it lasts for 24 hours...which that it definitely does!
