TechnoJunkie: The cells have a look of quality. I don't have much experience with them because the tool whose cells I was replacing apparently has a motor failure. I installed the cells, and charged them (via the tool's built-in charger). So far, so good... but when I tried to run the tool, I discovered that its motor and/or gearbox had seized up. So, unfortunately, I don't know much about the performance and longevity of these cells.

R. Larrison: My battery powered Bissell Spot Lifter's batteries were totally shot. It was old enough that a new battery pack was not available. So I built a new pack with these batteries. My device works great now.

Ross: I used two of these batteries to add new life to a very old 2.4v Dustbuster I bought in the late 90s. I also cleaned and lubricated the motor and the on/off switch and it works like new again. Some basic soldering skills are required and I used short 12G wire leads to connect the battery pack to the power ports on the Dustbuster assembly.

ElectronicsGuy: I'm a firm believer that if you want to go cheap, you're going to get cheap. I was looking for sub-C cells with solder tabs to rebuild the battery pack on an old HP-97 calculator. Given the price per cell, I knew this was going to be an experiment, but didn't want to spend a ton of money and figured it was worth a try. I actually have two 4-cell battery packs to rebuild, so I bought two 4-packs of these cells.
The only reason why I give these cells 2 stars is because of the price.
Solder tabs:
For starters, while long, the solder tabs are quite thin and flimsy. For my application, this won't matter, but it may be important in other applications.
Cell performance:
The instructions state to charge the batteries first, and also states that full capacity would not be realized for at least 4-5 charge/discharge cycles. This is typical and is to be expected with both NiCds and NiMH cells, so I wasn't concerned.
I cycled all eight cells individually with a multi-chemistry 'Smart' charger used in the RC hobby, and recorded capacity progress of each cell for each cycle. In fact, for the troublesome cells, to be certain, I actually used three different...
