Juliana Jara: I loved this scale it seemed super accurate and worked well for a couple of years.
However recently I have been working out and eating better for months and was not noticing any difference, like the info. in the profile I created for me as “P1” was stuck. I refused to believe there weren’t any changes also because I could see with my eyes so went to get checked and measured by a professional and there was a difference of more than 10% in my body fat percentage!!! So I guess it stopped working :(

Rosie: This is super accurate, great for competitions where you need to make a certain weight, you can test before you get there, quick and easy to use. Feels a little plasticy thus the 4 stars.

Jacob: I've had this product for about 5 months now. It gives consistent measurements and it looks fantastic. No complaints.

Other thoughts:

I thought about giving this 4 stars because of the inherent inaccuracy of Bio-Electrical Impedance Analysis in determining body fat, but I knew that when I purchased the product. What is important for me is that the body fat measurements are consistent. If I step on the scale two minutes apart, my weight and body fat are the same each time. That, in combination with looking in the mirror and judging how my clothes felt is all I wanted/needed from my scale.

That being said, I don't know that shilling out the extra money for the body fat analysis is worthwhile for most people. If you really need body fat measurements, generally speaking, callipers, properly used, will give you a more accurate assessment than any BIA scale. Most people don't need to know body fat though; checking the mirror, comparing the day-to-day fit of clothes, and consistent diet and exercise (whether attempting to gain muscle mass or lose body fat) is more than enough. All the extra data is just for fun, unless you're competing, in which case it may be...

Stefanie: Bought this scale a couple of weeks back. It is very easy to set up and the weight is spot on.

I am not sure though whether the body fat calculation is anywhere near correct, even after closely following the descriptions in the booklet. (Before dinner and a glass of water an hour before weighing in)

I should be happy though as according to the scale my body fat is at 20% and I would be slightly underweight. I know this to not be true so I take these measurements with a grain of salt. It is too early to tell whether it is good enough to track my body fat development over time, but as said, I know it is higher than the scale says.

I have also read somewhere else that to accurately measure body fat one would have to hold some kind of metal device in the hands so that the electric current goes through the whole body. My body fat measurement would only make sense if the electric "wave" just goes through my legs but not through the whole of my body as I have skinny legs and my fat sits around my tummy.

Anyhow for weight measuring I can fully recommend the scale.

Eddie: I bought this scale because I wanted a way to better track my body metrics as I train for triathlon. This model in particular was attractive to me as it was priced as a mid-level digital scale, but offers premium metrics. I had previously bought a scale from Bed Bath & Beyond that cost about $100 but didn't have muscle mass measurement.

The scale is quite light, and nice and thin. The cool black glass is stylish, and the screen is easy to read. Once you step on it, it immediately detects you (it can store a few profiles that keep track of height, age etc) and give your weight. A few seconds later you have the other metrics that cycle. The only thing I would like would be the ability to control how fast the different measurements are displayed. This is because I like to record my metrics so that I can track them over time, but its a little hard to get them all in, so I often have to wait for a second pass.

Overall I find this to be a great buy. I can't comment as to the accuracy, as I have no other scale to use for comparison, but I think its spot on.

J. Talbert: I have been looking for a new scale for a long time, our current scale just was not doing it anymore, it was a analog scale. We have had electronic scales before but never was happy with the reliability of them. Plus I hated I had to press the scale, wait a few seconds for it to turn on and reset then step on the scale. Not with this one though! . I was searching scales on Amazon and came across the EatSmart scales. I thought they were nice looking scales with very good reviews, I saw this one that measures body fat ( and more I later found out ) and since I am starting a diet, I wanted a scale that can do this.

I just got the scale last night, so this is just my first impressions, and will update my review later.

First thing I noticed when I took it out of the box was the photos on Amazon do not do this scale justice. Its the most beautiful scale that I have ever seen. The design and build quality are amazing. At first I saw a round hole in the bottom and I did not know what it was for until I picked it up from the bottom and realized that was there to put your thumb in to make the scale easy to carry. The fit and finish on the scale is exceptional.

I put the...

M. Ferrell: Yes, I did receive an e-mail from the company about a month after my purchase to rate their product on Amazon. Ok. Why not? They explained they are a small American company. It only takes a moment of my time and I really don't mind. I for one, almost ALWAYS check out reviews on Amazon before going to the store to make my purchase on a product.

So now for my review.

As others have said, this is a nice looking scale. It came well packaged and was ready to go right out of the box. I found it very easy to set up as well (one thing I was worried about was entering my height as I have a 0.5" increment in my height, but the scale lets you enter height in 0.5" increments - hooray). In the past 6 months, through proper diet and regular exercise I've lost 43 lbs. I became curious about what my body fat % (I had it tested years ago at a health fair with an electronic hand held device to find I was about 34% -boo) might be and found this scale and took the plunge after reading other reviews.

I have not had my body fat tested in many years and especially not since shedding some major pounds but I had an "idea" of what I might be based on some calculations where you measure...
