Karen : I garden in raised beds and have used a gas-powered tiller for more than 20 years. Now I have shoulder problems and have struggled for years to get the gas tiller started. This little machine is perfect. It rips through the prepared soil in the beds and is easy to lift in and out. I also used it to till up the compost pile before putting the compost on the beds for the winter. I thought the cord would get in the way, but it doesn't. It was very easy to assemble. The only improvement I can think of is to make the tines easier to remove. It would also help if a narrow brush of some kind came with the machine to make it easier to clean the tines after each use. The space is too narrow for a standard metal brush to fit.

AR2LAForester: This is a good little unit for smaller areas and looser soil. Any root over about 1/10th of an inch will cause it to bind up and in hard soil it’s not going to do much without a fair amount of pressure or multiple passes. Overall, for the price it served its purpose and did an adequate job. I’d say worth the money for small jobs….

Aust: I ordered this for the sole purpose of leveling a patch of my yard to do a paver patio. I was a little skeptical reading some of the reviews. I live in Virginia and the soil where I am is extremely rocky and with a little clay. This machine tackled it like a pro, the only con that I will say is the plug is hard to keep plugged into a orange extension cord with the vibration it came unplugged several times which wasn’t a biggie for me as this saved so much time digging! I could not recommend this enough for small projects like this! The package when it arrived it was not damaged at all.

Kindle Customer: So far, so good. I have about 2 inches of soil and then 10 feet of clay on my land. Slow but steady wins the race with this little tiller. I did use a garden fork to loosen the clods and pulled the tops off the weeds before using it, but it sure beats sitting on my garden for hours with a trowel trying to dig out the invaders. Lightweight, easy to use in raised beds, especially if you plan on removing the good plants and starting over from scratch in your garden. I'd recommend it.

C. Little: This little tiller is powerful!!! Starts easily and working around the power cord is not a big deal. The tiller digs in and does what it is supposed to do. I chose electric because I find rechargeable to be unreliable and gas difficult to start at times. I have a flower and vegetable garden and I was able to easily till around the plants. It was easy to assemble, I did it in under 15 minutes.

Bobby Thurman: Easy to put together, well packed, it came fast, and it tills my dirt using its own weight. The tiller had a clutch that clicks loudly when a rock, root, iron pipe, or whatever blocks the blades. It takes the same amount of effort to operate it as a vacuum cleaner. Just accept you’ll be spending more time cleaning the blades than tilling. I used this on virgin soil that was 120 years old with all the trash you’d expect. The tiller did a great job.
