Jess MatternJess Mattern: This stuff works wonders for a litter of puppies. I breed Samoyeds, and they get too hot in my car (even with AC at full blast), so taking the whole litter to the vet is a screaming puppy nightmare. My pups tend to get pretty bad worms, so they really can’t wait until their 8 week vaccines to get their first deworming. With this stuff, I can just do it at home myself.
Even though it says you should deworm puppies at 2 weeks of age and every 2 weeks after, too much deworming can cause pretty bad diarrhea, so be careful. Personally, I usually start at 5-6 weeks (advised by my vet) because it’s easier to mix with solid food than to give via syringe. My puppies hate the taste and will gag (scary) when I tried to syringe it down their throat at 2 weeks old, but they don’t even seem to notice the taste when they’re older and it’s mixed with food. So waiting a little makes it a breeze.
The ONLY downside (reason I took off a star) is that the instructions say multiple times that it’s good for use in very young puppies, yet the instructions only have dosages per every 10lbs! Even my 6 week old pups are nowhere near 10lbs, so I have to do the math myself every...
