heather moir: We did 5 coats on our huge deck and this paint is holding up well. My dog running on it and scratching it has not made a mark.

Robert N.: I had never used a product like this before, so I didn't know what to expect. I was very happy with the results! It was easy to use and it dried as fast or faster than the specifications suggest. The directions say to apply a heavy coat and I found that to be an understatement. Along the edges I used a brush and with the first coat, although I thought that I was putting on a thick coat, it had room for a much thicker one. With the second coat, I simply poured it directly out of the can to the area I was working on and spread it with either the brush, or the roller. Don't be afraid to put on a super thick coat! I would use this product again.

DonaldDonald: This product is amazing. It met, and exceeded, our expectations. The real test will be when it rains. Given that we live in the desert, it might be awhile.

Daphne Lee-Larson: Just been applied so not enough time to test durability. Looks nicely sealed, easy to later, scuffs easily, but it hasn't rained hard enough to test for sealing effectiveness.

Canadajin: Our 15 year old Duradek was showing it's age. It had lost its sheen and was fading and looked dirty. We really didn't want to shell out $7,000 to hire a company to replace a 350 sq/ft deck so we came upon the Liquid Rubber option. Approx. $1000 and 16 hours total of DIY work, and we had a brand new deck. This was 2 years ago and it's holding up very well on a south facing Alberta deck that can hit 35+C in summer and -40C in winter.
Considerations:
1. DO YOUR PREP WORK!! Looking at the pictures of dissatisfied customer's projects, it's clear that not enough prep work was done prior to application. For Vinyl decks, the existing vinyl should still be well adhered, with no lifting or bubbling. Other than that, faded vinyl or small scratches or cuts are not an issue if you follow their instructions. For going over vinyl, it's imperative that after giving it a good wash and rinse with soap and water (and letting it dry), you give a good rub of acetone on the entire surface of the deck (use a respirator when doing this). This will soften the vinyl and make the primer adhere wonderfully. We used approx. 4 to 5 L of acetone to do our whole deck. Do not skip the acetone or...

J. FeuerbacherJ. Feuerbacher: Our deck is only four years old. It's crap. The builder used substandard materials, and the expensive and time-consuming stain we put on it three years ago lasted less than a year. We have debated pulling off all the crappy-quality redwood and cedar and replacing it with composite materials. But we don't have the money for that this year, so I did some research to see if I could find paint that would turn it into something resembling a composite deck.
Well, this paint did the trick! I can't speak to its durability because I'm still in the middle of my paint job. But I can talk about how easy it is to apply and what a great waterproof barrier it creates.
This paint is thick. It's so thick that it doesn't drip off your brush or roller. And you would think that thick paint would be a PITA to apply. But it isn't. It goes on SO smoothly. I used a brush for most of the railings (I hate painting railings!!) and a brush for the primer coat on the deck, followed by a roller. I used a roller with a thicker nap, which gave the decking some texture. I really like the way it looks and feels. It isn't slippery in the least, and it doesn't burn my bare feet when I walk on the deck...
