Walshrd: The product will fit most any exterior water faucet. It has a pull string to secure it tightly around the faucet. It probably wont work very well in extreme cold temps. It's made of insulated cloth. But if your winters are fair to moderately cold, this product will provide good freeze protection.

daniela degan: Strings sewed into place so not sure how they expect me to tighten it. Useless this way.

L. G.: With winter and bad weather coming, I needed to replace two faucet covers for my outside water connections. I bought two several years ago and loved them, but the effects of the wind, rain and snow over the years caused visible wear and I needed to replace them. The original covers I bought were from a specialty catalog and cost almost four times as much as these Duck covers--not including the cost of shipping and handling. I'm so glad I happened to find these online and didn't order them from the same place as before! Both brands are similar, but the Duck brand is a little larger and has a drawstring closure instead of velcro like my old ones. The string is long so you can loop it around and get a good fit and make it pretty snug. The velcro on my old one wasn't very long and it took some struggling to get it on securely. I'm so glad I happened to see these on Amazon before I ordered two more from the place I did the first time. Better product and better pricing (plus free 2 day shipping with my Prime account).

Frequent Amazon Shopper: Bought these for a new house I moved into this summer. We had unusually cold weather for a period of days I was out of town this winter and I was worried about pipes freezing while I was gone and couldn't set the interior faucets to drip as was recommended in our area. Was glad to see these must have been effective - no problems at all the whole winter. Also, easy to put on and look fine.

MadPB:
I have one outdoor faucet where I replaced that annoying and drippy valve (you've all got one, admit it) with a nice quarter turn ball valve. I love that valve, but the lever handle is bigger and I've had trouble getting those foam things to fit over.
I experimented with using a foam thing plus some old rags to fill the gaps, but then the rags just get wet and they probably would have frozen solid and maybe made my pipes freeze even faster than if I'd left it alone.
So, I got this. It easily slips on and it seems like the tie will keep it on nice and tight. We've had a few below freezing nights since then and it's held up fine so I've got a good feeling about this solution. It doesn't hold moisture when it gets rained on, so I'm not worried about it getting wet and then freezing into a solid block overnight like I was with my makeshift rags.

Jennifer L Weidman: Great for insulation of our 100 year old windows! Easy to apply along the bottom of the window to winterize them for the harsh winter.
