dave: Making a ripstop nylon blanket, and hate using pins to hold the slick material in place. Using this stick worked great, it kept the material together and made it so much easier to complete.

BarbM: I was in a quilting class, the lady's was using Dritz 401 Fabric Glue Stick, I was amazed how well it work on the materials. Held my fabric in place while I appliqued my project. Works great and I just love it.

PepiBumbo: This stuff is awesome! First of all, I had no idea this type of thing existed until a crafter friend of mine told me that she used glue sticks sometimes instead of pinning fabric together. Pinning, as anyone who sews knows, is a major pain in the butt. It takes forever and it is annoying to take the pins in and out as you are sewing. I started using this glue to hold fabric together instead and it has been a life changer.

I just started quilting about a year ago, and I'm still a novice. I tend to make mistakes when I just hold the fabric together, which I know some experienced quilters do. But I dislike pins, as I mentioned. So this is a great solution. The glue is tacky enough to hold the fabric in place (at least quilting cotton) when making a quilt block or something, and then it just washes out when you wash the quilt. I don't know if this would work as well with heavier fabrics or anything with much texture, though.

Highly recommend this for anyone doing piecework, quilting, or sewing projects.

p: This glue seems to work very well on material. It dries clear but I would not recommend getting on the surface of your project. A little goes a long way. I did not give it 5 stars because the applicator could be made a little smaller and therefore easier to use on small pieces of fabric. I use a toothpick to apply it to small areas.
