L. Zahner: I used this product to cover some worn spots on a fake leather iPad case. It worked well for large areas in square or rectangular shapes. If there are irregular shapes or tabs, I recommend pre-cutting to fit as a unit, instead of individual small parts.

Geoffries: Had a tear in the worst location, one that was getting worse and worse. This seems to hold everything together. The rounded corners make it blend well and last longer. This has withstood desert sun thus far.

AdrienneAdrienne: There were so many browns to choose from that I was worried I'd get the wrong one. I ordered one, then once I saw how great of a match it was in person I order 6 more. I got passed down for temporary use two brown sofas a dog had scratched up the longer one, my pets were making it worst. I wanted to replace the sofas right away, but they are super comfortable despite not being my style and having scratches. I wasn't happy with what I was seeing in store and scared to buy one online. So I bought these to keep the comfy sofa until I find the absolute perfect replacement. $70 well spent. My fnger is not pointing to a seam, but to the bottom of the patch placement. I will update after completion, currently waiting on the second order.

Unlucky SevenUnlucky Seven: Had a drumming stool that had some cracking pleather, decided this would help to extend its life.

It works, but it ain’t pretty. Should be able to get more use out it now at least.

Cuts easily, scraps can be used for smaller fixes too. Overall happy.

Jim H: It's only been a couple of weeks, but so far, this is way better than using strips of gorilla tape. One should know: You'll need some kind of a template to be able to cut it as needed, so I recommend making one of out paper, several sheets taped together if needed, and drawing on it. When it comes time to cut, lay it out on a flat surface and use a razor or box cutter to follow the template exactly. Lining it up when it comes time to put it down can be tricky.

Daddy00Daddy00: You have and old office chair that looks like black leather (fake) that has begun to wear. You can't GIVE it away if you tried on FB or NextDoor. So do you junk it?

If you're like us - not cheap but just HATE throwing stuff into the landfill - you investigate ways to get at leat a little more use out of it. We found dozens of options on Amazon and it was really hard to choose. But a lot of those options were like little 3-4" wide rolls of simulated leather, meant for really small patchwork to fix or decorate something.

So we were finally attracted to the relatively high reviews on the quality an ease of use of the ONite leather repair kits. A large 8x11" patch was about $10 which is meh value, but given our repair need, the 16" x 5-ft roll was a bargain for about $25 (less $5 coupon we had). So we were very happy with the value of the product.

When it arrived, sure enough it looked like a 16" wide roll of quality adhesive black leather repair material. Almost like contact paper for shelves. The challenge was that the office chairs we needed to repair had all sorts of curves in the seat and armrests. Was this going to work? Or look ugly as heck?
