AH: This hat does a great job of protecting me from the sun. I walk dogs a lot and this really does the trick for sun protection. My dermatologist explained how the sun's rays will reflect from the concrete/ground/water and get you under a typical hat. With the face covering on this hat it solves that problem. A little tip: I wear glasses, and they help to hold down the front flap that covers my nose, mouth, cheeks, and neck. If I don't wear glasses to hold down the flap, it does skew my eyesight a bit. I also like this hat being hot pink, because that color makes you look less menacing walking the neighborhood. I highly recommend buying this for sun protection!

Amazon Customer: My husband says I look ridiculous and that I’m scaring children BUT my skin is protected from the sun and I love this hat! I am using Retinol and AHA’s on my face and it’s even more critical that I keep my face out of the sun and this hat does the job perfectly. I love all the detachable parts and I attached the face piece partially and only put it on fully when the sun is directly on my face. Love the wearable options as I don’t always need the face piece. Also I have a small head, so the adjustable velcro straps are perfect. Don’t hesitate on getting this hat if you need a new sun hat you will love it.

jenny do: I purchased this hat for my mother as she was looking for something to shield her from the sun as her skin is really sun sensitive. The color came out the be as the same in the photo and there's plenty of adjustable strings to make it fit nicely to anyone's head. Although I gave it a five star, there is something I would like to mention when it comes to one of the adjustable strings. For my mom after about one in a half weeks of wear, one of the strings came undone from the hat (it kinda looked like the threading came loose and it just fell out from one side). This wasn't a big issue for us as we don't mind just sewing it back on but if you're not savvy with that type of thing this is something to possibly note. Everything else has held up well so far and the hat itself it really lightweight. It's convenient to carry around as everything is detachable and can just be neatly folded up. I ended up purchasing another one for my mom's friend as well in the light purple color (very pretty lilac) and hers had no problems! I recommend this if you're looking for extra protection from the sun or just a full coverage hat in general!!

The hat’s extended wide brim is great! I have the beginning of macular degeneration and bright sunlight hurts my eyes. So this brim is a big plus. The brim also shades my face—another plus. The hat lays flat when not using and I place it in the original zip bag it came in and keep it in my car—very handy.

What I didn’t like is that the cover for the back of the neck does not keep my neck cool, especially in temps in the 90’s. And forget the hat strap—it doesn’t stay in place. I had to use other hooks to keep it securely attached to the hat.

I bought the hat because I have skin cancer on my face and I am overall happy with the product. I haven’t washed it, so I can’t judge its washability but it does keep the rest of my head cool. Plus, I have had many compliments from friends.

JayR: I use this hat every time I am outside. The wide brim keeps your face in the shade depending on what time of day it is. The cover for your face is light and breathable. I like the fact that I can cover up my entire face to protect it from the sun.

DFR: Very good sun coverage but so hot l can barely use this hat. 5 stars for sun coverage but 3 stars for wearing the hat. The hat is so hot l can barely use this hat. Big disappointment as l needs su coverage for my face badly. Price is no bad for a sun hat. Arrived on time and in good condition.

Honest Reviewer: Very nice and so so practical. I washed it in washer and dried in dryer ( my mistake) but it is amazing to wear for long walk during summer or gardening.

Ksenia: Full coverage, i dont wear with the face shield as its more than enough coverag for me with sunscreen on, but great to have if i ever wanted to. All the features and functionality when i look for a hat. The most full coverage one ive seen yet(even just the hat part)! I got grey and navy blue, i love the grey and i ordered a purple/lavender one just now from amazon.com. Only thing is if i get a few funny looks cuz i look like a girl with a bonnet lmao, but idc, id rather not have sun damage even tho its the social norm. I was the only one that didnt get my face burnt during all our summer lake trips so far this year out of my family and friends because of this hat!

Alphabet: UPDATE: Zipper broke after second use. The zipper is plastic and very cheap, which is okay, but the end of the zipper that keeps the two strands together fall out. I managed to repair it once, but the quality is such that it will easily fall apart again because the clasp doesn’t hold both strands in properly. Super disappointing. This will probably end up being a placeholder visor for when a better hat ships.

Pros:
- Thick fabric for the visor “beak” and also for the front and back covers. The fabric at the top of the head is quite a bit thinner, but I don’t find that unpleasant because it prevents the hat from being too stuffy.
- Foldable, easy to put on/take of front and back covers.

Cons:
- HUGE con for me is that the colour is nothing like the displayed image. I really loved the colour in the photo. Unfortunately, this hat is a yellow and darker khaki. Really a shame, because otherwise this product would have been much much better.
- It still looks weird in the city, even without the front and back covering. I bought this instead of a big sun hat because I thought it would maximize protection without being too odd, but the wide rim makes me...
