DreamSky Auto-Setting Alarm Clock with Snooze and Dimmer Functionality

Moss: We had a fun time setting this up. It is the 3 second rule for most dual function buttons. You can hit a button once and maybe something will happen. If it is a permanent change then add 3 seconds. Good feature, as you might hit something in the dark and not mean to change it. The brightness was pretty funny. We had it on ultra bright the first night. You can make shadow puppets and land planes it is so bright. But!!! It has 2 other dimmer settings. Ah ha! These are great. The middle one is like a regular clock in brightness. The 3rd is very dim in the light but nice if you need it really dark. Since my husband's eyesight is waning the first 2 settings work well for him.
The tonal increase was different from what we expected but works better now that we have tried it. Instead of coming in soft and getting louder it starts at one level and beat and goes faster. Harder to incorporate this into a dream and sleep through it. Very well thought out features. It is compact in size and even tells you the room temperature. It also has a handy charging port. Chip: I ordered this alarm clock to replace an old one that finally gave up the ghost. The first clock I got had an issue when I first plugged it in. The dimming feature didn't work. This was one of the main reasons I bought the clock. I like a really dim time display and since this one only worked at the highest setting, I contacted their customer service which was really easy because the put the email address right on the product. After emailing the company, I got a response within the hour (probably less) asking me to try a couple of things. Once I did and the problem wasn't resolved they said they would send a new one right away. I then got an email less than 24 hours from my original email informing me that the new clock had shipped and I had a tracking number in my hands. Two days later I had a new unit and this one works great. All dimming functions work as described. I haven't tried charging anything with the clock yet, but I don't expect to have any issues with that. One thing to note would be that there are two USB ports on the back. One is used to power the clock and the other is for charging a device. So if you are expecting to charge two devices, this won't work.

Paul R: I bought this because I was tired of my phone being unreliable as an alarm clock.
It's got a very good display that isn't too bright on the low setting. It only has one alarm but for a bedside alarm clock I really only want a single alarm. It doesn't have a radio function but I didn't use it on the last alarm clock I had. It's alarm is a beep that starts at a pace of about once a second and picks up pace every 10 or so seconds until it's beeping about four times a second. It wakes me up just fine. To snooze it you hit the big top button, which works great. One thing I found odd about it at first was that to silence the alarm you have to hit one of the four buttons on the back of the clock but it keeps from accidentally dismissing the alarm. I really like that it uses a USB cable to chord and has a USB out that is powered and allows you to charge a phone or whatever off of it. I've been charging my phone and I could see that being very useful. It's nice that you would only need a single outlet for your phone and the clock. The cord provided is plenty long but I could see getting a 12 foot USB male-male cable just in case I'm traveling and an outlet us too far away. The time...
