DreamSky Auto Set Digital Alarm Clock with Dual USB Charging Ports & Battery Backup for Bedroom

Goodnerd: I bought this to replace my existing bedroom clock because it was just too bright at night. I chose this one because the description stated it has an auto-dim mode, so I was expecting a light sensor that would adjust the brightness automatically.

The dim feature is actually time based, so it does not matter if it is in a darkened room or not. When set to auto brightness it will dim when the clock hits a certain time and then gets full brightness when it hits a certain hour in the morning.

I do like the time and temperature feature though. It's pretty close to the actual temperature.

So I dinged it a star because the lowest brightness is still to bright for a dark bedroom and the auto dim is time based and not light based. I figure I can get it a bit darker by putting on some tinted film, so it doesn't light up the bedroom at night.

Stilly Boy: I can't remember the last time I bought something and admired its perfection. This is such a well-designed clock, I may have to buy another one, just for a spare in case they quit making this. What a pleasure it is to look at this and have ALL the information I need right there. I use the auto brightness, which is perfect in every way, and I also use it to charge my phone - two huge bonus features. I'm so glad I didn't "cheap out" the day I bought this because there are a lot of clocks that are cheaper - but none as well designed and fully featured. I deserve to be spoiled with such a well-designed product. In this day and age, I am not always trying to save a dollar with a cheaper product - I will pay for nice products - AND they include the AC power block too. Love it!

Frank M: Ive been using smart clocks for my bedside clock for a few years now, but, both clocks I've had (Echo Show 5 3rd gen and Lenovo Google Clock) had ran into issues that make it inconsistent and unreliable. Rather than dropping $65 for a clock i only use half the time, I decided to instead opt for just a normal clock. Specifically one with the date and that i didnt have to do too much setup work. And thankfully, that was this clock.

When I plugged it in, it took a second to start up, but once it did, it immediately showed the correct date, and time, eliminating most of the prep work! ... keyword, mostly. Once it was plugged in and set, i noticed the clock was already 40 seconds off from my phone, so i ended up having to set the clock so it can be in sync with my phone. But now that its in sync, everything is working correctly!

Now for the other features:
-Size: I was surprised by how small this thing actually was. In the product pictures and even most of the review pictures, it seemed much bigger than it actually is. It being small is not a bad thing, but the way the pictures make it seem, make it look much, much larger than it is.

SandiMacDSandiMacD: I spent hours over many days during 6 week sorting through available clocks on Amazon and other sites. Initially I passed this up due to a lower than average review rating. However decided to give it a try and ended up ordering 3 more. Now have a total of five. Will update review if they fail.

Have had thee clocks now for 2-3 weeks. Set up was impressive! After the first two arrived, I was so blown away, that I ordered 3 more.

After unpacking, I inserted 3 AAA batteries in a couple (and not in others) and plugged in. I did not have to set any time! It set itself automatically on my time zone. That met my most important need. We live where thunderstorms take down our power for a few minutes to a few hours a few times every month, sometimes weekly. Occasionally lose power for a day or more. It drives my husband and I crazy having to reset clocks so frequently.

We have a few critical clock needs- large font, ability to dim at night, able to display time during power outages and ability to have the clocks display the correct time automatically when power comes back online.

Unbelievable that no one makes such a product! Unless it's battery powered only. So...

Boban Thomas: The media could not be loaded.  Clock is looking good and shows accurate time. It is overpriced at Amazon site as the item is available for Rs.4000 at Ubuy India site. Take-up the mater of over charging with the seller and refund the over charged amount.
