rites01: This is my second pair of the same boot. I really like the profile, and they're reasonably sturdy. The last pair that I had broke after one year of near-daily wear, which I guess is pretty good - I'm hoping that these hold up to the same.

Nicholas: I read a few good and bad reviews on this boot, but I was in love with this version of the Doc when I first saw them on a friend. I don't care for thick soles on shoes. I tend to go pretty minimal, Vans are my normal go to shoes. I hate wearing anything on my feet that has a heel, is heavy, or that keeps me from feeling at least a little bit of what I'm walking on. This boot is light and has about the thickest sole I can be comfortable in. I'm hoping mine don't separate at the bend at the base of the toe box like I've seen in some pictures, but I wouldn't be surprised to see that happen if these were something I was going to wear every day for 8+ hours of work. But at $70 bucks I feel like a if they last a couple of years of intermittent use I'd be happy. I've gone a while without wearing them, but then just did 4 ten hour days setting up an event and these shoes felt good the whole time. Normally getting home from days like that, the very first thing I'd do would be to pull my shoes off. I was surprised to still feel comfy in them sitting in the backyard after dropping my bags. Then, this morning, on a day off I felt compelled to wear them again. Again, I'm not sure these are the...

Amanda TumbagaAmanda Tumbaga: I really like these boots a lot, but I don't quite love them.
To be clear, I'm a woman and I ordered this boot in men's both because I needed the extra toe box space to heal an injury, and because the exact same boot in my size in women's was sold out. I usually wear a 9.5 in women's and I got a men's 9 because 8.5 wasn't an option.
It's probably a good thing I went up half a size because despite these being branded as "air wair" they really have very, very little padding in the insoles. The extra size allowed me to add gel insoles to fix the problem.
I love how they look and the quality is excellent, but from this brand and at this price I expected them to have at least some padding which is why I gave only 4 stars.
I tried on my friends higher end Docs then borrowed them for a concert and fell in love. But they were a little out of my price range and I didn't really want to copy my friend, so I found this pair of Docs that I had hoped would be a little easier on my foot injury (another 6 months or so of recovery expected) and much easier on my wallet. While the wider width of mens shoes is better on my injury, the hard insoles isn't.
When I...

khndrx: I am a weird lady with large feet, and wear a mens size 8 in (unisex) docs usually. Anyway, ordered and Unboxed. They looked pretty dope and punk rock on my feet. Honestly this is a great deal, and a good looking shoe.
Why am I returning?
The leather is a little sturdier than I need and I don’t have the patience to break these in. I exchanged these for the Leyton boots because the leather is a little softer on the leytons and they have one less hole and look more like leather sneakers. They are easier to get on/off and wont have to be broken in. I wanted something that looked more like a leather sneaker than a boot.
The Tobias boots even though they have a sleeker look that mimics a hi-top, and when unboxed are lighter weight than normal docs—look like actual docs to me as opposed to sneakers, have a slightly higher narrower ankle, and are made with a tough stiff, high quality leather that really needs patience to break in.
If yalls have the patience to break them in and need a decent shoe you can beat up these are the best. They really need to be the right size or they will pinch your feet. Would make a great work boots. Steezy enough to wear on a...

Steve G.: Great product ..size ten is a snug 9.5. Nice material and no heal is a relief to sore lower backs.
I like the grip of the sole even though it looks slippery...its ok.
Not a winter boot but bought for shoulder seasons myself.
Wore inside a few hours to help break in. Might want to not tighten laces to the top and keep second eyelet loose till broken in a little.
Leather is great! Is oiled leather so water proof and no products used to clean other than soap n water...
9 out of 10..... so far!

That Guy: Fits about as well as any other genuine Doc Martens... My feet would prefer the experience more if half sizes, and widths, were available. Nonetheless, I've worn these for a while and they're nearly broken in. I like the flat sneaker-laces. These are my "outdoor" pair (I have the canvas Alphies for indoors). I would also have preferred to have the same upper on Ranger-soles, but that not an available option... The grid-soles are acceptable. In all other respects the product is excellent: competently made and durable!

Justin WongJustin Wong: I've been wearing these boots everyday for almost a month. My first impressions of the boot out of the box weren't too positive. But they have since grown on me. Nice clean, basic looking boot. Nothing flashy. Nice and light, not clunky at all. They felt not too bad out of the box. After 26 days of wearing them each day, they've broken in for me quite nicely. No issues with any foot pain during that process, for me at least. It may of helped I replaced the included insole with my own that I have been using for long time.
I can't say they're a perfect boot after a month of wear. 4.5/5 so far for sure. My only gripe would be the process of taking them off. You have to loosen the laces a lot to take them off easily. I'll make sure to add a few photos once I can. And make any edits to my review as time goes by.

Sarah: I ordered these boots because I knew I wanted a combat style boot that was more flat soled. I tried on a pair of these in brown at a shoe store but ordered them through amazon because it was cheaper that way. They came early! I am a 20yr old female who typically wears a 7.5 or 8 in men's shoes. I ordered the 8 (size 7 UK) and they fit great. I wear them several days a week so they have loosened up a bit, but not enough to say that I would want a size smaller. Comfortable enough to wear regular crew socks or boot socks. They don't have any arch support (but I like them like that.) I have had them for about 2 1/2 months and they have only gotten better the more I wear them! A little bit of wear around the edges but the leather is holding up wonderful. Side note: I tend to dress a bit more masculine so these are perfect for me but I recommend them to any lady or gut who wants a damn good boot.
