c.williams: The only thing I would say ... I wish there was a way to get more of the under fur. But it's a sturdy every day brush. I have a German shep. husky and he just needs so much brushing it's ridiculous. Comb is sturdy too.

Catherine: This brush has more pins, which are rounded and not sharp. It brushes so much deeper into the pup's coat, and is gentle, not pulling, because force to get thru hair is distributed among MORE PINS. No more plastic balls coming off the ends leaving a sharp end that scratches. The pristles are gentle for little nose and ears. I love this brush, it's great. Glad I bought two.

Josh: The metal bristles and setting seem well made. The brush side is extremely soft and only really good for smoothing and collecting loose surface hairs, Probably better for removing hair from cloths after brushing.
