DC in AZDC in AZ: PROS:
Good tone & sound quality
Attractive style
Easy to assemble
Fits a small space
Arrived quickly
Full 88 key keyboard
Bench seat w limited but useful storage

CONS (or one anyway):
There’s a slight ‘ticking’ sound each time certain black keys are played. Those keys also have a slightly ‘loose’ feel compared to the others & the tick is somewhat annoying.
The keys are:
LOWER OCTAVE: E and G flat
MIDDLE OCTAVE: G flat
UPPER OCTAVE: E and G flat

Other than those 5 troublesome keys, the Donner piano is great! I’m pleased with it and would recommend it for a beginner pianist or anyone wanting a small but substantial keyboard piano for casual use and personal enjoyment.

Matthew J Cowdrey: When played, the notes vibrate and have a buzz at the end when you are holding them. I have emailed the seller and they answered saying they were going to replace it. Now it’s been 6 months and we haven’t heard anything back. Don’t waste your money.

Update: Donner was able to send us a new piano and the new piano works great!!

violinist: Edited: As you can see from the original review, this piano did not live up to what we need it for. After posting the original review, we were contacted promptly by the company and we attempted to trouble shoot the issues we had. The piano has limitations and therefore we could not fix the issues. Donner offered a full refund and did not make us ship the piano back since the box was long gone. We will seek out another piano that is more suitable for intermediate players. But I very much appreciate the customer service from Donner and that is why I raised the stars to 3.

Original review -
I have played and tested several digital pianos, but I never thought any company would make one this bad. Even if you play with an even dynamic level, sometimes the notes become so soft that you think you missed a note. It becomes obvious when you play tremolo or repeated arppegios; notes get skipped consistentely. I would have returened it, except we already trashed the box.
On top of that, the speaker quality is very low, and there is noise from some keys. All the preset accompaniments are very tacky. I emailed the customer service twice, but did not get any response.

BR: I decided on this piano because I wanted something stylish and functional. Living in Alaska, I Yamaha pianos will not ship to my location, and ordering one from the lower 48 have shipping costs almost as much as the piano itself. Not pleasantly surprised; it was exactly what I expected. That's not a bad thing, though. Really decent quality for the price. I didn't need or want anything with a bunch of bells and whistles. It has a piano function and that's all I wanted; don't care much for the 199 other low-quality presets it has. Pedals are pretty high from the floor and makes it uncomfortable to use, so i have to prop my heel up with some styrofoam just to reach. Looks nice, but once I move away from Alaska, definitely will upgrade to a Yamaha Clavinova. But for now, it suits my needs.

Norman: I don't have a great "ear" for music, so you'll need to read other reviews for the sound quality; but I do note two things and one suggestion for the manufacturer.

1) The piano is made entirely of MDF and covered with a nice veneer. That isn't necessarily a problem, just so long as it doesn't get wet or dragged around. Dragging it will likely (eventually) damage the unit.

2) Assembly was incredibly easy. I brought over all kinds of tools, not knowing what I would need. Turns out all I needed was a good size phillips screwdriver. That's it. Super easy.

As for the suggestion to the manufacturer... when you tape the lid shut for transportation, how about folding over the end of the tape a half an inch so that the user can pull the tape off without risk to scratching the nice finish.

Megan L. White: I settled on the Donner DDP-100 model after reading several reviews for this and other models. I was slightly nervous because reviews were a bit mixed recently, but thought it would be worth the chance, considering our needs (2 beginners...really all 4 of us are at a pretty basic skill level). We have to travel an hour to find a good piano shop that has a decent inventory and the high-end brands didn't really have reviews that sounded all that much better compared to this one.

Packaging:
I will say that it came very well packaged: box was sturdy, pieces were securely fit in styrofoam, and each piece was individually wrapped in plastic to protect the finish. I assessed each piece for any signs of damage or defect and found only a small drip of glue on the front of the keyboard that is BARELY noticeable.

Assembly:
Again, reviews were mixed about how easy it is to get this assembled. Some swear it is a 2-person job, while others say one person can handle it. I was really nervous as I started to assemble the base because it didn't seem terribly sturdy initially. It took a bit to get it all screwed together. One of the caster inserts wasn't installed correctly and...
