J. Bonner: This book is great if you've never attempted kumihimo braiding before. The instructions are clear, there are step-by-step photos and the projects are very nice. It's not the most in-depth kumihimo book, but it's a perfect introduction.
One vital tip that I didn't see mentioned: if you're using beads, tie a knot in the end of the cord before you wind it onto the bobbin. The bobbins are prone to unwinding and if you don't have a knot, your tiny beads will end up all over the floor.

Kelsie Ludeman: I usually prefer necklaces over bracelets and this book only has 1 or 2 necklaces, but I still really like this book. Sometimes the instructions were a little difficult, but I had minimal experience and with that little experience I knew what the book meant. The necklace I did was simple and turned out absolutely beautiful. The bracelets I did were gorgeous too. Really good book.

carlotta: Arrived very quickly .. disappointed.
Described as suitable for beginners.
Maybe watching a video would be more helpful than trying to follow instructions in book!

J. young: I think it should have came with one of the tools to complete projects like some of the other books. As I will have to buy the kit to get started. So, if you see that at a bead store with a kit.

Clotilde Menendez: By twisting thread, you can be weaving incredibly beautiful braids that you can use in various ways. If you are a crafter, artisan, or artist, even using these in certain forms of fabric collage, Kumihimo is a skill that can enable you t to create amazing pieces with lots of creative flexiblity. This book will start you in that direction.

Kali: I bought this book to start me off on Kumihimo. The designs are beautiful although some are a little daunting for a beginner! However, after having much practice I have ventured into beading and have used this book often for ideas and inspiration, even creating my own designs by tweaking the designs in the book to my own requirements. This was unthinkable to me a few short weeks ago. I refer to this book constantly and the way the sections are laid out is very helpful to help you refer to specific ones easily.
I can't follow the some of the instructions very well and do find that confusing however I work better using YouTube videos. As a companion to videos this book has been well worth it.

Amazon Customer: While I enjoyed this book and there is one thing I take exception to. I teach Cooney he email and I strongly disagree with the author about putting beads on top of the desk. I think this is a disaster waiting to happen. I teach my students to never put any beans on top of the desk. I have them keep them all below the desk so that when they pull up a string only the amount that they want to move will move. Other than that the book was very nice and gave some very pretty patterns.
