Devismom: I have a little Havanese who has had ear issues non-stop for many years. Antibiotics, vet ear cleaners, various highly rated ear treatments- nothing worked longer than a few weeks. It's been so awful. But I kept buying and trying.
FINALLY THIS!!!! I expected to use it for at least 5 days but there was no need! Two, TWO, treatments and my girls ears are healed and clear. I cannot thank this company enough for offering an effective and reasonably priced treatment solution. Just WOW.
I am using it once weekly ongoing, as recommended. But the waxy funky junk is totally gone. No head shaking, groaning, or crying in pain at ear touch. Miracle cure, nothing less. Your dog deserves this great product. A+++++

kathy button: I chose this product because it mentions being "burn free". I looked at several other options and opted not to purchase them due to the alcohol content. I didn't see alcohol associated with this product and noticed that it contained boric acid (which I thought was supposed to be the substitution for alcohol). I received it today. It smells like 90% rubbing alcohol. The ingredient list reads alcohol, boric acid, and gentian violet solution. I would not use this on any dog with an ear infection - with infection comes open skin, which means BURNING!!! Do the responsible thing (that I didn't initially do) & call your vet to get an antibiotic/antifungal ear wash or a Rx. I don't think many vets would recommend using this product to TREAT an infection. Once it is cleared up, this might work as a 1-2x/week rinse to keep it from coming back.
Would you want someone spraying alcohol on an open cut, wound, or irritation that you have?
Also, I paid nearly $30 for a bottle of mostly rubbing alcohol - ridiculous.

Amazon Customer: My 5 year old Rottsky has had yeasty ears since I got him at 1 year old. They have always seemed to itch him and they always smell a bit like fritos.😂 Usually I clean his ears weekly, and I use zymox whenever I start to notice excessive buildup or head shaking, which has kept it mostly under control. But since early this spring his ears got worse than ever. He’s allergic to something (having an allergy panel done soon), apoquel isn’t helping and his immune system has been sluggish. He developed SUPER bad yeast infections in both ears and a bacterial infection in his right ear. Multiple rounds of antibiotics from his vet, medicated ear rinses, allergy shots, an ear swab sent to an external lab to pinpoint the type of bacteria, and his bacterial infection was still going strong. My poor boy was head shaking, holding the infected ear low towards the floor, lethargic, and sharply yelping any time I even accidentally brushed by his ear let alone clean it or put a med in it. I ordered this after seeing the reviews & yesterday late morning I flushed his ear with it.
